@ghost_rider1: read up on midnighter and youll know why this is a MAJOR mismatch.
I already read up on midnighter and I know about him. Dnt assume I dnt kno anything. And this isn't normal gambit. His powers are at their full potential.
if it is new son , then midnighter might be in trouble , battle computer and healing factor aside. if its just gambit and he can shoot beams or fireballs and thats it the midnighter snaps his neck and goes about his day.
At the risk of sounding cliche, doesn't Midnighter still speed-blitz? Even with Gambit's superhuman reflexes, Midnighter's another level of speed, and Gambit doesn't have the durability to tank hits from 'Nighter. If New Sun reacts fast enough, I guess he could steal Middy's kinetic energy, and then he can just 'splode him. But I think Midnighter could still kill him before he reacts.

I see ur logic...but after reading about new son. There is one itty-bitty little problem. New son don't have to touch him to make him explode. He can charge midnighter just by looking at him
If Gambit is New Son level thane this isnt as one sided as people think. That version of Gambit has defeated his universes phoenix and destroyed almost everybody on his earth also. Though he didd get beaten by Gambit from 616 afetr he had his powers unlocked.

It would be one-sided, just in the opposite direction.

The question is, who's faster? Midnighter has moved faster than speedsters could see, so why couldn't he blitz Gambit before the New Son can look at him? I haven't seen any reflex feats to convince me that isn't a probable outcome.
