Gambit vs Luke Cage
-He can only charge his cards.
-No death powers.
-Cage has 1hr prep. Gambit has none.
-Morals apply.
LOL.Yes he can throw them. The rule means he couldn't charge a car or various other objects." @Son Of Storm: He can only charge his cards, but not throw them? What could Luke Cage do with preparation? "
A lot.
This is a difficult choice. I may have given this to Gambit if he could charge other objects besides his cards, but it would be more difficult for him without that option. Of course, he could do something as simple as charging several cards at once and using those for one powerful explosion, but that would take more time. Also, Cage is not a speedster, but he is not necessarily slow either. While I do believe that Gambit's agility should compensate for his lack of physical power, Cage will not simply allow Gambit to attack him. On the other hand, given that Gambit has the range advantage, Cage will have some difficulty attacking Gambit anyway. Difficult decision. I may wait for others to provide arguments for this before I decide.
" . By the way, are you excited for the Resident Evil Afterlife movie that comes out in 9 days or so? "EXTREMELY!

Gambit can just spam his cards and set timed explosions with them. Plus he has the speed and agility advantage so even if cage gets in close it's gonna be hard to tag Remy. People seem to forget that Gambit isn't a push over in H2H combat with Nick Fury himself praising him as one of the best H2H fighters he has ever seen. I'd take Gambit 8/10 over Luke Cage.
I think Cage is durable enough to endure Gambit's cards for a while and a thunder clap should knock Remy off balance, allowing time for a possible one-shot. Willing to change my mind though.
Gambit has the range and agility advantage. The question is, does he have the knockout power to take down Luke Cage? I say it's 50/50
Tough call. I can't recall a feat for Gambit where he KO'd someone with equal or superior durability to Cage. I remember him unleashing his full deck against Gladiator but I don't think it put him down. Gambit could go for the incapacitation win by dropping some heavy debri on Cage, but my first impression that Cage would take a solid majority.
