If Gambit has prep then he knows about current Hobby's sonic cream. That'd even things up greatly. He should also know the terrain better as the x-Men have been residing there for awhile now. The alleyways would give him plenty of cover to avoid some of Hobby's attacks. If he can keep his distance then I can see him taking it.
@cattlebattle: very wrong this would not be easy for either party. Gambit could win since a setting in san francisco would look kinda like new orleans. He has plenty of things to blow up he can even blow up buildings to knock him out of the sky.... Thsi one is tough but i have to say Gambit just because if gambit touches him he's dead but i dont think he would want to fight him up close like that
