Gambit vs Blade

I keep seeing this fight used as an excuse to over play and undercut both characters during their two second skirmish in the 90s. And so let's get it talked out.

Scenario 1: H2H only

Scenario 2: All outta fight

Location: Central Park, New York

Equipment: Staff and Cards(Gambit), Sword and Daggers(Blade)

Why is Blade underestimated so much ;~;

I agree with Dondave, if only because Gambit can charge Blades clothes and weapons. However Blade can tank his cards easy enough. And actually.. he probably does take both rounds on account of his physical stats and fighting skill.

He's gone through bad writing for like...ever, doesn't get much face time compared to more popular Marvel characters. At this point...Moon Knight is a bigger character. Marvel seems to just not care about him lol

Moon Knight has always had an alright sized fan-base; I don't get it though, almost everyone knows Blade, but Marvel always cast him aside. They should just make a supernatural team with Blade in it so he can get a bit more face-time.

Blade both rounds. I'd wager he's better all around physically, and his weapons are all designed to kill and kill fast. Blade can tank exploding cards, Remy can't tank getting stabbed in the chest.

H2H, easy win for a stronger, faster, more durable, more skilled, more experienced fighter like Blade

All out, I'd say Blade again for not only being faster and more durable, but for his healing factor allowing him to come back from any explosions he may or may not get hit with. If Gambit is getting any wins, he'd only win by KO or if he managed to stick a card in Blade's mouth.

Blade has been at the center of several explosions. Some of which he caused personally.

He should take both rounds very convincingly.

Gambit would have to be provided with both the opportunity and the incentive to go as full out as possible in order to put down or even really injure Blade, both of which he will be lacking in this fight from beginning to end. Blade is physically better in every category, logically a better fighter, has more appropriate/lethal equipment, and should be able to cruise to a solid majority in both rounds.

Jokes on you, Gambit already stalemated him in CQC. Nyeeheehee, can't catch me.

It most likely could be charged and would have an explosion, but the object itself wouldn't be destroyed. Similar to when Gambit charged Cap's shield.
