Batman has the upper hand strategically, but Remy could take anything Bruce throws and charge it with kinetic energy. No prep. That way Bruce can't bring something ridiculous. E.G bat-shark repellent. No. I kid you not. It exists. Also, Remy can't do something ridiculous like blow up Gotham. I've heard someone say he can charge the mansion and blow it up if he tried. I think the largest thing he can blow up should be a car. Maybe a truck. Morals on.
Gambit vs. Batman

This has been done. Repeatedly.
Batman should pull a slight majority IMHO. But this is close (I've made arguments for both).

Gambit could win this without powers.
I actually agree with this ... no prep for batman ... gambit is just so agile key word is COULD ... me thinking he wins this 6/10 w/o powers ... no one else on forum will agree w/ this but I do ... either way I think gambit wins.

No. Gambit gets his arse kicked without powers.
Gambit is great at avoidance, but he is no hand to hand specialist. In hand to hand, he is second tier at best. Without his powers, this is Batman's fight 9/10 times.
Heck, he couldn't win decisively against DD with powers on and got knocked on his arse by Bullseye. Batman will run him over.

True. His agility should be a key advantage. His combat skills, while not on the level of Batman's are still notable. He had a pretty good fight with Daredevil in which the winner was inconclusive. Gambits staff gives him decent reach, and his superior speed/agility should allow him to dodge most of Batman's standard equipment.

THat was kinda bullcrap when Bullseye caught the charged objects. Gambit should beat Bullseye, Daredevil and Gambit would be good match but the molecular accelerating powers of Gambit would be too much for Batman.
@god_spawn: Is it H2H only? Wasnt aware of that. Guess that would be a more fair fight. Batman would win the H2H.

It isn't. I just saw some people think Gambit wins without his powers and just staff or in a h2h fight which I don't see happening no matter subtly Gambit gets majority. I'd only give Remy a majority over Bruce with his powers and that is a slim majority.
This might depend on how long it takes Bruce to identify Gambit's weaknesses. Or if Bruce can survive long enough.

@Super_SoldierXII: You say that like stalemating DD is a bad thing.
Not a bad thing. It's actually one of Remy's higher end feats. And that's the problem. I see Batman as (moderately) superior to Daredevil in everyway (save, perhaps, avoidance). While Gambit's more powerful these days then back then, statelmating DD with powers on make beating Batman without said powers highly unlikely. Dangerous ABC logic, to be sure, but somewhat applicable logic nonetheless.
Let's not forget, while Remy has his mutation, Batman has very advanced gear as standard fare and a very effective bag of tricks making him more diversive and considerably more mobile.

Does Gambit still have death powers?
I think so, but i'd imagine that would only apply if put into the OP.

Not really. Death is a standard ability for him, he just chooses not to give in to it cause it is harder for him to regain control.
@god_spawn: Would it make sense if you put Gambit in a street-level fight and then said he had access to his Death persona? Or would that end up a bit one-sided? Which is why his Death persona is ordinarily mentioned in the OP, if he has access to it in a fight.

Wolverine has claws that can cut pretty much anyone's head off in a single hit yet we don't bar his claws despite their potential cause he doesn't actively use them in a such way in a typical fight. Gambit can charge most of his opponents if he wants to but he doesn't use his powers that way for majority of his fights. Both guys are street level despite having an advantage most don't have a defense for if they used their abilities in such a way. Death is a part of Gambit as is charging cards, the reason I don't see why we don't bring it up is he is so hesitant to use the power it is practically moot in a typical fight.
