Shaw

Shaw would probably win, after a while. He could just sit there and absorb everything Gambit throws at him until he has enough energy to blow the staff-wielding card player in half. Gambit is definitely the more skilled combatant, and if it was just hand-to-hand he'd win, but Shaw doesn't need fighting skills to win this. Gambit's theatrics wont help him beat a guy who can absorb a nuke's worth of energy. Also, the helmet wouldn't be useful to Shaw in this fight, save for physical protection, which he doesn't need, as it's only purpose is to prevent telepaths from reading his mind.

Gambit is the worst opponent to put against Shaw. His powerset is however, like an all you can eat buffet for Sebastian.

Gambit has no conceivable way of harming Shaw. This is a mismatch.
