Galactus vs Imperiex - Battles

Its probably been done before, but on Imperiex's profile it says he is often compared to that of Galactus, so can he really defeat the devourer of worlds?

Really? Well I don't really know because I pretty much know nothing about Imperiex, and not a lot about Galactus either.

Well look at it this way...

Imperiex - has the power of The Big Bang... which is a Universal Scale Power

Galactus - eats planets for power... and can destroy Galaxies with his high level attacks

On Paper... Imperiex has a greater scale of power than Galactus

Galactus's suit stabilizes his powers, without it He is too powerful and would destroy Imperiex with ease. Without his Helmet, He could have killed Thanos.

IMPERIEX is just energy if he took his armor of he would be destructive energy glactus still is just a being of (i think) flesh and blood
in the end IMPERIEX is the big bang they send him back to the beging of the universe there he became the big bang.

imperiex was able to destroy and reset the universe, while the world devourer is should be long gone if phoenix's force didn't saved him, galactus is nothing to imperiex

it was clearly stated in http://marvel.com/universe/Galactus#ixzz1GDamxsOr that galactus is a physical being Galactus can only adopt a manifestation (M-Body) from the Dimension of Manifestations in order to commune with abstract beings, such as Death and Eternity

Incorrect assumption. Perhaps they represent similar concepts, but they definitely have different feats and such.

Silver Surfer transformed an entire galaxy into a sword and he only has a fraction of Galactus's power. Additionally Galactus drained the sleeping Celestial, and then it took the combined forces of 3 Celestials to beat him. I'm pretty sure anything pre-abstract level would have a tough time with Galactus. Additionally, he took Mephisto in his own realm once (that was kinda PIS though). He's taken on the Annihilators without really taking any damage. He creates people like the Fallen One, Stardust, the Silver Surfer, and etc. Also he has been capable of destroying and recreating them, bending their will to his in the blink of an eye. He consumes planets for dinner, and has proven to be pretty unbeatable (though he has been a colossal jobber in every sense of the term when he's written poorly).

I'm going with Galactus, mostly because even though Galactus has some horrible, and I mean horrible showings. Imperiax also has some pretty amazing showings, I mean he killed someone in the DC Universe, and that doesn't happen very often! Realistically they are probably even and this could go 5/10 and 5/10. But I'm gonna take the fanboy defense and go Galactus.

I'm not too familiar with Imperiexs' abilities. Glactus seems pretty well described in his character page whereas Imperiex has a few paragraphs. What are Imeriex's feats?

@PeaTearGriffin: A smaller feat from Imperiex is the ability to decimate a single planet containing a race of Superman level inhabitants. A larger feat is Imperiex destroying that whole entire star system. An even larger feat is him hollowing out galaxies.
