@pr0d1gy: I'm not sure how to calculate the increase from the power gem, in theory it could make Thor invincible if he uses it to its full potential, maybe you should remove it.

Not considering that, jarnbjorn is deadly against celestial tech, but the members of the host can merge and oneshot everyone. In raw firepower I'm going with the celestials, there is just too many of them.

Given Thor's increased wisdom perhaps he could tap into a good protion of power from the gem. That would be their only means of victory.

In most other scenario the fourth host should win this pretty handily.

Jarnbjorn can one shot Exitar. I see no reason it wouldn't one shot lesser Celestials.

I think he means that the Runes would only allow Thor to tap into their potential and not Galactus, making Thor the differentiating factor of the fight. Although that in itself is entirely debatable. Galactus should be able to handle a few for a brief period, while Thor resumes to one-shot a few with Jarnbjorn and than the duo double teams the remaining.

The runes allow Thor to see into Gin-Gigap. Gingigap is norse terminology for the dimensions outside of the Universe. In this case, beyond Universe-616 and into the Multiverse.

@citizensentry No you have no evidence to debunk this but your own bias. If you need the scan than simply ask for it.

@pr0d1gy: @citizensentry: you two are just adorable.

Anyway, Jarnbjorn has one shotted multiple celestials. Ones that I believe are stronger than any here. And wielded by faaaaar weaker people (unworthy Thor and Kang...) With it, RKT (with the other buffs mentioned) shouldn't have a problem here. Adding in a Galactus with infinite energy makes it spite.

Considering that this is a much wiser Thor I would assume he has a much better understanding of the power gem and how to properly use it. Not to mention that he already wields an incredibly powerful artifact, the Necro sword. Also Jarnbjorn can pretty much cut through celestial armor like a knife through butter. And the fact that Galactus held his own against four mad celestials(even killing one) without breaking too much of a sweat. I would give it to Thor and Galactus.

@claymore1998: The runes only allow Thor wisdom to fellow gods and humans.

Hehe but why would you believe that would be the case though friend. To the best of my knowledge, it was never stated or implied for that to be the case. Given we know Odin Force even before a full awakening of Rune's knowledge allows you a cosmic vision where you can see and feel things beyond what mortals do.

Take for example, Fear Itself where Odin shows Iron Man what god's see, where he overwhelms Iron Man's mortal senses with cosmic vision. Nothing about his knowledge seem to be implied as being limited to wisdom of gods and humans. Another example comes from The Reigning story arc. Before King Thor turns evil and was reluctant to use his new found Odin Force, the force itself in order to explain Thor the nature of his power shows him a vision. Remember, this is before Thor was judged worthy enough to be endowed by the knowledge of the Runes. The Odin Force, manifested as Odin himself, explains Thor that while he has used his powers to vanquish foes thus far that is just the tip of the ice berg. Thor is then taught the knowledge of planets and stars, and Thor is asked to apply that knowledge when he first destroys a planet and later recreates it.

Given what we know of Odin Force and Runes it would really not make sense if it was only connected to gods and humans. At least, that was my understanding from the story. In fact going all the way back to Thor: Into the Valley of Death , the story which to the best of my knowledge introduces Runes for the first time, was said to grant knowledge of life , death and the working of the universe. While I suppose the life and death knowledge could somehow be limited to Gods and Humans, would you really say the working of the universe would be limited to that? Perhaps you could say but that was merely a statement but given the story Hela really had no reason to lie to Thor about what Runes were really all about. The way it was mentioned also seemed factual. But perhaps you are more critical than I am in this regards.

That being said, I would love to hear your side of the story as well, friend, to see why you think it would be limited to Gods and Humans. Perhaps, there is something I have missed that you may know? Please feel free to share and lets see if we can eventually come to a consensus. Let's try hehe ^_^

The celestials should win.

Although, i do have a random question. Is exitar ignoring people exclusive to him? Or do all celestials do it?

The CAV ended because the OP told Prodigy to remove the Destroyer Armour from the match and edit his posts accordingly, something that Prodigy refused to do.

The Runes are magical artifacts that grant their wielder access to knowledge that he or she normally couldn't obtain. They were acquired by Odin and were later passed onto Thor. It is implied that the knowledge the Runes provide depends on what a person has lived through. In Odin's case, because he was a god, he became all-knowing of the ways of the gods, but Thor, from his time as a god and human, allowed him to gain even more knowledge than Odin giving him the all the knowledge of the gods but also of humans.

Sorry a bit confused but why would that be a debate. The destroyer Armor was created for a singular purpose. In all of Odin appearances there are merely 3 stories where he's actively used Destroyer Armor because of his own.

Wearing the Destroyer Armour has never been a "norm" for Odin or any Asgardian for the matter. Destroyer armor, for most part of its story was never even in Asgard and the only time Odin has actually summoned a Destroyer Armour in a fight was during The World Seed story arc because for that particular story arc the armour was in Asgard.

But perhaps I am missing something, would you be kind enough to point me to where the argument has been made. As a big fan of Odin perhaps I could help with debate, I have read most of his appearances.

Sorry but where are you getting this from, friend. I can pretty confidently say that sentence was never mentioned during Ragnarok. I am a big confused to where you are getting that from.

As per Runes acting different to different people, that's also not something that has ever been mentioned. The reason Thor and Odin got different knowledge was likely because of the different level of sacrifice he went through. Thor's humanity was essential for the story because Those Who Sit In The Shadow can pre-emptively see what Gods are going to do in the future. Their cosmic vision however does not cover humanity. That is the protection Thor had, it was Thor humanity that allowed Thor to hide how he planned to defeat Those Who Sit In The Shadows.

The Runes are magical artifacts

Hehe what artifice are you referring to, friend. There were none involved in the said story. Thor merely hung himself, and the knowledge of Runes merely flows inside Thor. I am unsure where the idea of artefacts even comes from.

Would you be kind enough to elaborate?

I just briefly went through that CaV. If Nate were to lose it would be due to the difference in power between his opponent and not because the other side somehow had a legitimate, solid and consistent argument. It's like a good debater with Spider-Man trying to argue against someone else who has Galactus, in which that someone maybe flipped through a couple issues worth of comics but usually pulls off random scans from Google images and/or respect threads. The debater won't win, but not because they're bad.
