The other point imo is that when Superman Prime OM empowered his lineage he just catalyzed the Super Sun rays to reveal their latent powers :

Kal Kent has some DNA from an imp of the 5th so when he is empowered by the Super Sun he gains new powers thanks to that extra energy and they vanish when this energy is depleted.

Got any proof of that?

I can't confirm either of these statements. To my knowledge, he's never faced someone with molecular manipulation. Although Kal Kent does have quantum vision that he's used before to disassemble an antimatter device made by the Toymaker which had the necessary force to destroy 6 billion acres. It's possible his "quantum vision" could counter molecular manipulation. I can't say for certain, seeing how DSS out manipulated even Molecule Man, the same one who was battling the post retcon Beyonder. Here are the scans.

@mysticmedivh: just can't see how supes would win tbh and he dosent really have a counter to top tier molecular minipulation I could be wrong if someone has scans of him resiting molecular attacks then. I'd be more inclined to say supes plus morals are a big factor

Kal Kent isn't Superman though. IIRC he temporarily held an entire galaxy with his force vision.

@mysticmedivh: he had help holding t granted still an amazing feat but I feel when it gets to high tiers physicals stats are low piority and when I mean high tiers I mean above herald, to be fair I don't know too much on kal I've read his pages on. Vine and wiki but it's not really an accurate good source of information I could be easily persuaded if I see some good feats and your right in strength kal probably takes it, DSS best strength feat is hard to clarify how hard it is, but the speed is very debatable sentry took thors to speeds which thor couldn't handle and in travel thor has hit se very insane speeds, granted a lot of people here know I like sentry and it may cloud my vision I just have a feeling marvel are heading for big things for him

Ok so Kal Kent have latent powers activated by Superman Prime, and all of his powers are waning fast without the Super Sun.

He gets weakened really fast so even Ressurection Man 1M with flight and enhanced strenght as basic powers can handle him.

It's the reserves of "Super Sun energies" that allow Kal Kent to perform incredible feats by using his additional powers, they came from a Queen Imp that married a Superman of his Dinasty so they have all a chance to get additional powers to their Kryptonian powers :

Even using his super-strenght to strike drains him from his solar reserves.

He needs the help of Hourman to go through the time barrier, just in time or he died because he was rapidly aging and depleting his last solar energy reserves :

"Information... Flooding in... From the Super-Sun... Regenerating the cellular damage..."

Again, Kal Kent is powered by the Super Sun : He needs a very specific energy, nor even the regular 20 th century Sun powers him, it's a big flaw :

"His awesome abilities are bestowed by the light of the System's Super-Sun. On 20th-century Earth his power levels are dropping fast."

The genetic origin of his powers :

"when the superman of the 67th century wed Gzntplzk, queen of the 5th dimension, ten alien sensory powers were conferred upon the sons and the daugthers of El."

And of course Superman Prime (Kal-El) catalyzing the energy of the Super-Sun to awaken his new powers :

In clear Kal Kent is super strong under the Super-Sun but being limited to absorb only source of energy is a big flaw, therefore he is not immune to matter manipulation and Sentry can block his powers because he can manipulate light or darkness and molecules.
