Not so fast guys. What if Superman is Clark Kent in his dreams? In the case, Kruger would own. As long as Superman is afraid I don't see him winning this.
Huh... I thaught about this before and I thaught it would be neat. Superman wouldn't be afraid of a big scary monster with knives on a glove, so he'd have to look deeper into his mind and prod at his insecurities. I think there was a Justice League episode like that, and in his nightmare was of him growing so powerful he couldn't control himself and he hurt people. I think he has the will power to beat Freddy (which is what people would say if it was Batman vs. Freddy :D, which would also be neat).
Freddy wins. Turn the dream world into kryptonite or something. He turned Jason into a baby after all. You can't beat Freddy in the dream world, you've gotta drag him to the real world to really win.

In the Justice League episode "Only a Dream" they have to fight a villain that was basically Kruger and he would have killed supes if the Martian Manhunter didn't psychically save him. Freddy could do it in half the time and ten times bloodier. He is all powerfull in the dream world, anyone that thinks Sups could win dosen't know who Freddy is or what he is truly capable of.

@CylonDorado: It depends on how scared Superman is and the nature of Superman's dreams. If he dreams that he's Clark Kent then Freddy can take him down easily.
I don't think Freddy would appear as some horrifying monstrous entity to fight Superman. He'd probably appear as Lois, or his parents or something to let his guard down. Everyone's afraid of something and Freddy will find what it is, even if its fear of himself and his own power.

if clark has no knowlege of freddy y would freddy have knowlege of kryptonite. lettin him know about kryptonite is an unfair advantage for him and also clark not being superman but still having a weakness to kryptonite.

the problem is clark doesnt fear much and the only thing he can do to make him afraid wouldnt be the same type of fear that would get him killed. he's not scared of water like jason so he cant use that to make him scared so can attack and kill him. u get wat im sayin?
Its cool that you mentioned this because I have a blog almost like this with no comments yet but the difference is having all the horror villians going up against etiher marvel or dc superheroes in a possible story arc so check it out and see what you think of my thought cool? I probably would say Freddy by the way but a hero with magic or a dream power is more of a longer better fight I believe such as Dr.strange or Sandman lord of dreams maybe.

yes, but how does freddy use this against him. hurting his loved ones doesnt cause any physical pain to him at all. and another thing i just thought of, clark may be able to feel the pain in his dream but how do we know this affects his real life body his mind can die, but if he wakes up would their be any damage done to his body at all?

I know how Freddy will win. He'll set up a super appealing weight room filled with bench press machines and then when Supes starts pressing, this happens:
@CortSether: the problem is clark would go for that. he has now need to bench press because he there's no weight heavy enough for him to get stronger and his body stays fit no matter wat he eats. im pretty sure in his dreams he wouldnt be lifting any weights.
