Many of the Freddy fans say that Freddy can remove the powers of a cosmic entity, there`s no proof he can, it only worked on the residents of Elm Street, humans to be exact. Freddy during NOES 6 was powered by souls as described in NOES 4 and Freddy vs Jason. Freddy didn`t have the power to do the following without souls:

1) Turning somebody into a cockroach

2) Turning somebody into a comic book

3) Turning the world into a Junk yard

4) Manipulating somebody`s shadow

Freddy only was able to depower Jason because he found a fear for Jason, why was Jason beating up Freddy during the later parts of the fight? Until Freddy was knocked into a pipe and discovered or exploited water as a weakness for Jason? Yet the Freddy fanboys come in and say Freddy is a god that and he has absolute control. They also say that Jason feared him, and also that fear doesn`t take away Freddy`s powers, the point is he can`t just depower somebody he needs to find a fear and via that method proceed to depowering them.

Freddy is overrated

Dark Phoenix solos.

That's like saying Avada Kedavra wouldn't work on a Balrog because it's only been used against Humans. It's a crazy statement.

Freddy during NOES 6 was powered by souls as described in NOES 4 and Freddy vs Jason. Freddy didn`t have the power to do the following without souls:

Batman has a soul, which means he loses against Freddy. Superman has a soul, which means he loses. WW has a soul, which means she loses. And so on.

1) Turning somebody into a cockroach

Which isn't a low showing.

2) Turning somebody into a comic book

Mr Mxyzptlk did something simillar. Not a bad showing.

4) Manipulating somebody`s shadow

Which once against isn't a bad showing.

Freddy only was able to depower Jason because he found a fear for Jason, why was Jason beating up Freddy during the later parts of the fight?

Freddy was never getting brutally beat up. Jason was getting brutally beat up. Freddy: Got thrown into pipes that triggered Jason's fear.

Jason: Got a big them stomped on his body, got his own machette stabbed into him by Freddy's reality warping.

Got slammed multiple times against a wall that it damaged the wheel on it.

Jason was getting more beat up then Freddy. Decide for yourself:

Until Freddy was knocked into a pipe and discovered or exploited water as a weakness for Jason?

Already adressed this.

Yet the Freddy fanboys come in and say Freddy is a god that and he has absolute control

Because he does. That's a fact, in FREDDY'S MIND he can do ANYTHING. Look up the definition of a dream demon, bud.

They also say that Jason feared him, and also that fear doesn`t take away Freddy`s powers, the point is he can`t just depower somebody he needs to find a fear and via that method proceed to depowering them

Fear is simply a weapon Freddy can use to kill his victims at his joy/pleasure. He didn't use fear when he turned that girl into a cockroach, or that boy into a comicbook, now did he? He used REALITY MANIPULATION. Freddy Krueger is a REALITY WARPER.

Freddy is overrated

Dark Phoenix solos.

I disagree.

Freddy is overrated

I disagree.

That`s a no limit fallacy and Freddy hasn`t shown that he is capable of taking on beings of that high calibre. His powers only worked on humans, residents of Elm Street and teens in particular. It has never been shown to work effectively on demons, gods, superhumans, 5th dimensional imps and other Dream Lords.

He needs to kill that individual to absorb their soul, it doesn`t just work that way.

Its not a low showing but it doesn`t prove why it would work as effective against more powerful beings as it did on ordinary humans, and Freddy was amped by souls.

Mxy is greater than Freddy in all aspects and there are many characters who could do the same or better.

That`s my point, Freddy beat up Jason during the earlier parts of the fight but he only got the upper hand because he exploited a fear. And it is a low showing because its taken out of context completely, because many say that Freddy can do that to anybody which is not true its because he exploited a fear.

Big deal and it did nothing to Jason.

Freddy can`t do anything, the Freddy fans say he`s a Dream god or lord but he was only given powers by Dream Demons, and he`s not omnipotent, he was challenged by immature as well as inexperienced teens regardless if they had prep or not. He killed them in later films because he got more power in later films and it isn't all that impressive.

Yes he is but to a certain extent, he only did those high end feats because he absorbed the many souls from Elm Street, Freddy never hinted at these abilities in earlier films. There`s a difference between the two followings:

1) Shape shifting, turning invisible, teleporting and slashing.

2) Turning the world into a junk yard, a person into a insect and a boy into a comic book.

See the difference?

He is overrated, because it gets to the point where people think he can defeat anybody when his abilities are taken out of context completely.

Dark Phoenix is greater than Freddy in all aspects, she`s a universal force, Freddy is just a human who died and was given powers by three mediocre Dream Demons in which he became their avatar.

This, considering the low caliber of the people that have given him trouble Freddy is highly unimpressive but the OP seems to be a Freddy fanboy who's in love with the character so it would be fruitless trying to explain why he loses.

Freedy Krueger is sooooo overrated, when all he does is lose to little kids. While we have a universal being versuing him.

1. Freddy is very underrated on this site.

2. He only lost to kids when he was in the real world where hes Powerless so again people need to stop with this kid beating Freddy argument. They always ended up dying in later films by freddy so that argument i irrelevant.

3. Freddy can copy both of their abilities and depower them.

Freddy stomps.

Dark Phoenix is universal.. Even lower being's would easily beat Freedy.

IIRC, Freddy copies other Dream Powers, there is no proof he could actually copy other kind of abilities, specially one of a cosmic entity. Also, if regular horny teenagers can pull their ground against him, even in the Dream World, using their own abilities, someone like the Dark Phoenix would simply obliterate him. Both Dumbledore and Jean Grey could even take him out of the Dream World to finish him (not that it's actually needed) just like pretty much every teenager did.

Freddy is god of the dream world. He can have any powers he wants. He's erassed people from existance with a Blink of an eye....... Regular teens never beat Freddy in the dream world with their own abilities. I would love to see proof of that.... Everytime Freddy got defeated it was in the reality world where hes powerless. Even when the specific teens did beat him, Freddy still never died and ended up killing them at the end of the film which was shown In Elm Street 2..........

Freddy could copy her powers, plus she will be powerless in the Dream World, It's Freddys world, what goes on goes on if he allows it, He controlls reality, warping and magic...etc...... hes a reality warper...... Unless DP fights FK in the real world, then she stands no chance at all, especially if Freddy didnt toy with her like he did to the teens that beat him, If Freddy actually goes for the kill like he did when he killed those teens in later films, Dark Phoenix would get stomps effortlessly and quickly........

How could he render her powerless? Did he even manage to do that to those Dream Warriors? I see no way for him to strip DP of her powers, she is just to much for him, and even if he somewhat manages to do it (which is not the case), what stops her from dragging him into the real world, just like many teens did in the movies, and then end him there?

Still, Freddy never, NEVER fought against someone of DP's level, not even Dumbledores's level for that matter. DP is a Telepath, one of the strongest there is, and Freddie is attacking them in their dreams, inside their mind. There's just no way he could pull any of the crap he did against those teens will fighting DP, there's just no comparison.

@Kingjohnrocks:

Umm. No..he's not Mxy in his realm. Not even CLOSE. Let's look at other people who are "all powerful".

Nightmare (in his realm), Beyonder, The Presence, I could go on but you et the point. Name one time any of them were beaten by people as weak as the ones that beat Freddie. And don't say PIS. When you lose as much to people who aren't even Tim Drake level..it's not PIS..it's a pattern. So Freddie has ZERO chance. Doesn't matter if you accept it. Feats show it.

Hell, next thing I know you'll say he could beat Franklin Richards in his realm too.
