Who is Earth 31 Batman? Why is he the best? Just curious.

@PlasticBag: Frank Millers Batman.

Batman Year One. All Star Batman. Dark Knight Returns. Dark Knight Strikes Again.

All are Batman of Earth 31 and that Batman is a darker and more sadistic Batman. Think Batman with a Punisher Attitude. Minus the killing still but less likely to save you and no qualms (rather enjoys it) maiming people.

@CadenceV2: Oh no he is much worse than you described. He has killed and greatly enjoys doing so.

@PlasticBag: He's Batman with a Punisher attitude.

And he loves the word "goddamn".

My favourite quote:

"Not one word. Not one goddamn word. I've taken so much crap for calling my goddamn car the goddamn Batmobile. Well it's my goddamn car, and I'll call my goddamn car whatever I goddamn please."

New 52 would have the initial advantage. Until All-Star would spontaneously start yodeling, then break the momentarily distracted New 52's arms, push him over the edge, and hang him by his own cape.

Hmmm. Like I said I haven't read All Star and in Dark knight and Year one he doesn't kill. Infact he makes it a point not to cross that line on purpose. So Frank Miller change all that?

It's Frank Miller, there is no line he won't cross for Shock Value.

Maybe Batman was gentler in his older age LOL. Makes sense to me. Cant wait to read All Star.

New 52 Batman has this. Plenty more combat feats than Frank Miller's Batman. And I really dislike All Star Batman. That character just isn't Batman at all.

I dont understand why people hate a different take on there character. No one complains of Owlman who is really a evil batman in some cases. I like Punisher and I like this Batman.@Agent_California said:

For once Miller wrote a poor Batman. He's not supposed to kill or be horribly brutal. He's dark, brooding and a tad extreme but he shouldn't cross the line. That's been part of his character for edges, even in darker incarnations. Owlman was created as an evil Batman so that's fine. Miller's Batman is a Clint Eastwood inspired Batman. All Star Batman is really poorly written tripe and shouldn not even be considered a decent Batman story. And I'm not a Punsiher fan either. His self inflicted spiral down his path doesn't appeal to me. I'm more into the traditional sort of superheroes anyway.

New 52 Batman has this.

Even though Frank Miller's Batman is pretty badass.....

#17 Posted by Death Certificate (5439 posts) - 7 months, 1 day ago - Show Bio

Miller's batman burned criminals and had sex with Black Canary, while the criminals were still burning to death. (Black canary got horny watching batman beat those criminals on fire)

As far feats goes, leaning towards new 52

I'm curious, does A.S Batman have any good H2H combat feats compared to N52 Batmans?

#19 Posted by dewboy01 (1832 posts) - 7 months, 5 hours ago - Show Bio

New 52 batman wins. I don't like frank miller's batman, cause he's an ass who left robin in the cold dark cave with nothing.

I'M seeing people say that new 52 got this, just because they dont like AS batman. Can we please use some actual feats?

So who do you think would win?

#22 Posted by Lvenger (8228 posts) - 7 months, 3 hours ago - Show Bio

@RidTom: I did say New 52 Batman would win. His combat feats are far superior to All Star Batman's. That version of Batman only appeared to be a brawler rather than one of the best martial artists in the world.

Thats the only feat I need to read about. AS Bats wins.

@RingSlinger: I don't know, from what people are saying AS Batman sounds like a really strong brawler not a martial artist

Didn't he kill the Joker in Dark Knight Returns?

new 52 batman.

I think A.S. Batman may have a slight mental advantage here. He's clearly the more brutal of the two, while New 52 has the classic Batman mentality

People are Bias as to characters rather than Feats when it comes to these 2.

All Star Batman Feat would include Batman Year One, All Star, Dark Knight Returns, and Dark Knight Strikes Again. More than enough evidence he wins.

Still valid feats as A) He was 10 years retired B) Old as dirt and slower and C) Still used prep and gear he had during All Star time frame

All the more Valid points when using his PEAK during All Star.

How would feats from New 52 compare with All Star?

#33 Posted by CadenceV2 (11012 posts) - 6 months, 30 days ago - Show Bio

@tshock: Never read 52. Dont care to. Its more or less same as Post Crisis now and days. Flash is FTL again. Supes can move planets. Batman is the wrolds best Martial Artist. Blah blah ****ing blah.

Its all shock value to restart the franchise a short bit. Nothing new in 52 that Post Crisis / Pre Crisis has not done.

#34 Posted by tshock (157 posts) - 6 months, 30 days ago - Show Bio

I'm curious as to how these two would react to each others style of crime-fighting and whether or not that plays into the battles outcome

#35 Posted by CadenceV2 (11012 posts) - 6 months, 30 days ago - Show Bio

@tshock: That why All Star wins. He has Martial Arts (read Year One, Dark Knight, and Strikes Again) and is very competent in his Martial Arts.

Added to this is his willingness to kill. This is always a hinderence for 52 Bats. Always. Its far easier to kill and maim than to stop without killing the other guy. Fact of life.

Lastly All star uses gear that sets you on fire, cause Nightmares to erupt, or simply Batarang you in the face.

He is not just some brawler.

New 52 Batman wins, I really can't think of AS Batman doing anything impressive besides painting himself yellow to beat Green Lantern.

Yes he is not for the faint of heart

He's the same batman from The Dark Knight Returns and Batman year one

@Sideslash: Trust me, out of all the possible Batmen, He and Vampire Bats are the most brutal. Still New 52 has some good showings like taking on a much stronger version Bane so maybe 52 gets it.

I don't think 52 bane was that much stronger than classic bane if at all
