vs
Firestorm (pre-52, Rusch/Stein) vs Ultron
Who wins?
Can Firestorm transmute adamantium? Ultron gets transmuted into a condom for now.
Ultron can control his body on the cellular level, I doubt that will work.

Can I see a scan of him resisting matter manipulation? Thanks.
IIRC Firestorm transmuted part of the Antimonitor, he has created and manipulated stars, and the Firestorm Matrix is the power of the big bang itself.
I dont think Ultron stands a chance.
@themagicstik: while creating stars is impressive , I need to see storm do anything to anyone with the level of control that Ultron has over his body.

Well I'd say partially transmuting the Antimonitor would speak for the level of people he can transmute considering the AM tanked a Galactic level explosion in Sinestro Corps Wars. I think Ultron would have trouble controlling his body if it was turned into cotton candy.
Also creating a star and letting Ultron get stuck in its Gravity, I think I would call that a win.
Ultron wins, he hasn't shown he can do anything to Adamantium IMO.
The Firestorm Matrix is a second big bang, it's manipulated the likes of the Antimonitor who can tank a Milky Way busting explosion. Ultron controls and morphs his molecules with a man made device. I'd say the power of the big bang trumps basically anything as far as matter manipulation is concerned.
@themagicstik: While that is immpresive, there is nothing to suggest Firestorm can manipulate something that doesn't exist in his universe, and something that he has never shown to manipulate; especially something like Adamantium.
Ironman used Ultron's own internal matter manipulator to destroy several Ultrons at once. They were made of secondary adamantium and Ironman questioned if it would work on true adamantium.
IIRC Ultron-6 was the first one to use the device and he was True Adamantium.

I was just trying to give a fair assessment of Ultron's showing when it come to matter manipulation. Really, in that same story true adamantium Ultron was destroyed by Antarctic Vibranium. We've also seen Magneto effect it. It clearly has it limits and I don't see any reason Firestorm could not effect it.
Depends wich version. Annihilation Ultron murders Firestorm, but Firestorm could deal with most of the versions.
Ultron.
Since adamantium can be rearranged by science, I don't see why Firestorm can't rearrange it. That being said, I don't know that matter rearrangement would be the first thing he would try, or if he would get a chance to. Ultron can control people's minds, has used adamantium nanobots that come out of his body to destroy people (and since there are millions of them they would be harder to transmute all at once), and his energy blasts are disintegrators, so they're extremely dangerous, not the standard concussion blasts a lot of characters have. On yet the other hand, intangibility is tough to beat. I'm trying to remember what Ultron did to overcome that when he fought Ghost.
Firestorm stomps.
Firestorm transmuted the armor of the ANTI MONITOR. Someone leagues above ultron. He's transmuted Promethium, something that is just as durable as adamantium.
If this is morals off firestorm makes ultron absolute zero, or goes subatomic and destroys him from the insides which are more vulnerable iirc.
@thenewbluebeetle007: Wow this fight reminds me of the Iceman vs Ultron threat
@kingares109: actually I think both are underrated. Firestorm is easily high Herald level, more than capable of taking on most of marvels cosmic characters, while I've seen people saying superman could contend with ultron.
@thenewbluebeetle007: Well I wouldn't say Ultron is underrated..Most of thread are he solo or stomps..
Firestorm don't command the same respect..
I'm going to back Ultron, because of his incredible versatility. However, the version stated is only really powerful in his final form, where he literally only got beaten by plot (Ultron-20 is pictured here). If we're talking about his "standard" body, then he is still quite capable of going blow for blow with Adam Warlock casually, but his real power was in his limitless array of bodies. In addition to this, there was also the effect of the Phalanx which he controlled, to use its technovirus (which he made airborne). Finally, he can use his encephalo beam to wreck his mind. He's already been shown to be quite capable of wasting Mantis, when he wasn't even directly attacking her.
