Firestorm vs Quasar
" Current Firestorm would own, Jason/Ronnie can transmute organic matterWhen has the current Firestorm (Jason/Ronnie) shown to transmute organic matter? Whenever introduced in Brightest Day, it states that they can only affect inorganic matter.

" Quasar in the past was taking energies like Vulcan. IIRC he was even draining Surfer. "If I remember correctly, he lost to Surfer

Quasar feats" sorry how powerful is quasar with his quantum bands? i dont really have too much info on him...can someone show me a repsect thread or scans or just write up about him, his comicvine page isn't very useful. "
Good question lol I am pretty sure Firestorm is more powerful him. His bands won't save him from firestorm.
I read Brightest Day #10, and it doesn't state that they can transmute organic matter. They must both know what they are doing to affect the molecular structure of things before being able to transmute them (and it appeared as if Ronnie was severely lacking in that). They would only cause a big bang if they start arguing. Doesn't really translate into battle, I'm afraid."although Ronnie and Jason both have to know what they are doing, they can still reduce Quasar to water. Firestorm also has enough power to cause a new big bang. "
They just need to know what they want to transmute to, they don't need to know the molecular structure of what they are transmuting. Jason/Gehanna could transmute organic matter so could Black Lantern Firestorm and there is nothing to suggest that Firestorm cannot anymore. Plus if this is bloodlusted they start arguing big bang and absolutely eliminate Quasar.
" They just need to know what they want to transmute to, they don't need to know the molecular structure of what they are transmuting. The molecule structure has to be known before they can transmute anything. That was evident in Brightest Day #10, when Jason couldn't transmute a football into plastic. Jason knew what to do, but Stein asked if Ronnie did. Then, Ronnie asked himself if he knew the molecular structure of plastic, and Jason told him that he didn't. Ronnie didn't object, but joked around about it, because he knew he didn't know. Stein, within the same panel, confirmed that they are limited by what Ronnie knows and what he doesn't know. Again, knowing the molecular structure is required.

Black Lantern Firestorm could transmute organic matter because of Jason. Now, we have two vessels of the Firestorm Matrix merged together, and Stein confirmed that they have limitations because of Ronnie (because he's not very intelligent, and he had limitations to his powers and couldn't affect organic matter when he was the original Firestorm). If Ronnie has had issues with organic matter in the past, and he can't even transmute something into simple plastic, why would we think that Jason could still affect organic matter now? If anything, Ronnie's limitations could have an affect on Jason. Besides, Brightest Day speaks for itself when it re-introduced the character.
You'd have to read that issue. Quasar through the fight, when discovering he fought for the wrong side. Quasar can't be transmuted because the bands auto-protect from energies then absorb them.Even giving him superhuman durability in the Surfer fight.
He's a universal power (under Johns) and stated to be one of the most powerful on DC earth. One-shotted Black Adam, defeated Orion, and overloaded a better energy user, captain atom.
Quasar is an energy being with full control of his quantum state. So transmutation is out.
Quasar has no upper limits to his energy absorption, and absorbed a star once, casually, just to get someone's attention. He's also passively drained Silver Surfer and other heralds before (on multiple occasions).
