Firestar's powers aren't based on fire they are based on microwaves so the lack of oxygen would have no effect on her powers.. actually it would increase them considering there isn't an atmosphere to interfere with them. The lack of breathing on the other hand would hinder her powers.

My mistake. I haven't read anything with firestar in it in years and you are indeed correct as it seems she can also now absorb cosmic rays and utilize them as well, and she apparently can (sigh) open dimensional portals in space as well. I might have Known they would retcon her into some "i can do anything" powerhouse. Lame though if you ask me.
