Ready to call spite, were you? Think again, because this is MCU Iron Man.

Finn has his ice ninja powers, Wizard powers, and I guess the Grass Sword. I don't think he needs it because the Vorpal Sword can be conjured with his Wizard powers, but whatever.

Tony has the armor from The Avengers. I believe it was the Mark VII.

They are fighting to the death in the forest where Tony and Cap fought Thor. It is daytime. No prior knowledge on either side, and no BFR allowed. In character but Tony is willing to kill Finn, and I'm sure Finn wouldn't have a problem killing Tony anyway. There is a starting distance of 80 feet between the two.

Who wins?

EDIT: Let's make this even more interesting. While wielding the grass sword, Fridjitzu abilities and Wizard powers, Finn also has the Telekinetic arm.

Lol, you got me.

With that being said, Finn wins.

I still don't see why tony can't just light him up from distance. I'll take tony.

@mayan_fist: Now those I don't know about. But it's not a stomp for either side by any stretch of the imagination.

Remember when Tony was in the Middle East and they were trying to do that hostage thing, but Ironman quickly shot the enemies with precision? That's why Finn dies.

Finn's going to need his Ancient Psychic Tandem War Elephant for this one Tony has defeated magic in the past many times.

Edit Oh wait MCU Iron Man never fought magic unless Thor's lightning bolt counts & that didn't work out to well for Thor.

Why is it the MCU writers will deviate from the comics to accommodate non-comic readers & then fail to explain certain aspects of the movies that are true to the comics.

Like why there was an explosion when Thor hit Cap's shield. I had to explain why that happened to about a dozen people.

@killerforhire: I doubt the average moviegoer is as interested in hearing some long winded scientific explanation about the happenings of the MCU as you or I are. At some point they must be forced to dumb it down somewhat.

Not putting us comic fans on some sort of intellectual pedestal, but we definitely do tend to have more patience and interest in understanding how things occur in comics and the movies based on them.

By the way, did the explosion have something to do with Cap's shield being made out of Vibranium? I don't entirely remember.

Thank you for your input, but the Ancient Warrior Elephant isn't included in Finn's arsenal here.

He does, however, have his wizard powers, ice ninja powers, and the Grass Sword.

How do you think he fares against Tony with the aforementioned equipment?

I have a feeling Finn can't stand his ground for to long here....Iron Man may or may not be the one on top here.

Finn is so agile, all he needs to do it get in close once, his grass sword is magic and would cut the armor

it'd be tough, but he could do it given his experience and ice ninja skills

@archanfel: I guess you didn't read the OP.

Wouldn't be the first time.

@mrnoital: Tony could just as easily carve Finn up with his laser, though... which is why I think it's such a good match.

Finn has his wizard powers?

Let's just say he lifted 1/3 of Hogwarts to (stupidly) save it from a meteor. He can overload mayonaise in Tony's suit. He can make Tony's shadow inside of him to snap his neck. He can make him sleep defenseless with the sleep spell. He can awaken Tony's suit to being sentient and use it agaisnt him.

You can leave now.

@shiryu: I think Finn using ice powers for invisibility can sneak up and slice with the grass sword, as long as he can get to cover/doesnt start in the open

Well some of Finn's spells would be reflected off of Cap's shield but Iron Man is another story. This is Finn vs. Iron Man.

@shiryu: oh they definitely would if they started in open sight, they might even solo, but we dont know all his powers

but at minimum finn could ninja him, but if they start in sight, finn needs to use distractions and such to get an advantage, but i need to watch the wizard episode again to know some of what he has

Even if Finn tries to sneak up on him, Tony has thermal vision and JARVIS to keep him on his toes.

Spite.

most of Finn's opponents after he gives them a regular bop. Could an bloodlusted or even mentally stable Ice King ever lose to Finn?

Finn does not have magic he gets magic certain episodes but he has zero chance against a real threat. Frog Prince would have killed him and like every opponent he ever faced.

@mayan_fist: his invisibility is powered by ice ninja magic, pretty sure he's cold enough for Tony to not see finn

plus in the movies i dont actually remember ever seeing that, can you give me a refresher when it happened?

@mrnoital:

Still, the question is whether Finn would be smart enough to control his temperature to blend in with his surroundings. More likely than not, Tony will see a Finn-shaped thermal anomaly hiding in the forest.

As for the movies, War Machine used the thermal vision to infiltrate a compound in the 3rd movie, if I recall correctly. I would assume that Tony would have the same vision.

@mayan_fist: well it definitely wouldnt be a finn shape anomaly hiding, more like silently jumping and parkouring at him quickly with a magic sword

and i guess you could use that, although the armor was changed, i should watch the scene where he describes it to see if he adds thermal, or if that was already there, but i probably wont get around to that today

Like I said before without The Ancient Psychic Tandem War Elephant or aid from Jake Finn stands a very slim chance of defeating Iron Man.

@kasino: Like I so often reiterate, for it to be a spite thread you have to harbor such an intense dislike for a character that you intentionally set them up to lose.

I do NOT care enough about fictional characters to make a spite thread.

Shit.
