Hey everyone. Please add your own thoughts, mess with the weight classes, we'll debate it for awhile and then I'll post a "what most people think and their arguments" post later in the thread.
We often get into debates about, "how to kill the Hulk" or "Superman vs whoever". The transformers vs the power ranger zords. Whatever.
We argue about it quite a bit, and good points are usually brought up on both sides. But on this forum as with an MMA forum I post on, I think the best thing to do is to put super powered people into weight classes.
It's tough to say who would actually win in some fights, while other fights are just silly and mismatched.
Daredevil and Spider-Man are in the same weight class. Goku and Superman are in the same weight class, with Thor. But Superman is a heavyweight character, and Spider-Man is a welterweight character. That's a silly mismatch, however Thor vs Superman isn't - and it's tough to say who would win, its debatable at least.
Also, since we can all agree that Daredevil vs Nightwing is a good, interesting fight - we'll never get to see the fight cause these people aren't in the same universe anyway. So lets just agree that it's a good fight by putting them into the same weight class.
And by "weight class" I mean "power class" - people who could duke it out with one another and it would be a fair fight.
Some Caveats
It doesn't have to just be comic characters, and lets leave the gods out
I would argue that Apocalypse is in a weight class with Megatron, and could have a good fight. Zords and The Female Furies too.
As for the gods, both universes have super powerful, omnipotent beings, debating who would win in a fight among them is kind of fruitless. I say leave out Franklin Richards and The Source or the Presence since they make and unmake universes
