the hobbits are useless.
that means its 12 badass dwarves who mow through dol guldur orcs vs 4 decently strong fighters. gimli IMO has more feats but wouldnt immediately own one of his kin. same with boromir.
its down to aragorn and legolas, and as long as they tie legolas up in melee, should win just by sheer numbers
Bilbo was decimating forest spiders left and right, Sam took on a whole platoon of orcs by himself. Hobbits are not useless, Frodo is.
Gandalf will be forced to fight himself, since dividing his attention at any other will cost him his life. Also, fellowship Gandalf has better combat feats, so he will probably take it after a long fight.
Bilbo with the ring is the second greatest threat from his team (obviously Gandalf is the greatest one). I can see him taking hits at the 4 main fighters from the fellowship to throw them off balance and create openings, or at least not letting Legolas effortlessly rain arrows on the dwarves (Legolas has never missed in the LotR movies).
Frodo will probably be a non factor, but if Sam took the ring for himslef, he could do the same for his team, and the fellowship being superior fighters would be even more efective.
Thorin and Dwalin are IMO the best dwarven fighters and may be able to contend with Aragorn, Gimli or Boromir, but i dont see them winning, Bombur is strong but showed 0 skill, he takes an arrow to the knee within the first moments of combat.
The terrain is the deciding factor of this fight, its very open and with lots of narrow bridges at different altitudes, this will allow Legolas to take full advantage of his unparalleled mobility and range, always staying out of the dwarves range and filling them with arrows while Aragorn, Boromir, Gimli, and the hobbits take the front lines in a defensive fight buying time for Legolas to drop them. If Sam has the ring, its a slaughter, if Frodo has it, the 4 hobbits can take on 3 or 4 of the least powerful dwarves (IIRC some of them are pretty much featless). Now Bilbo is very smart, he'll realise the threat Legolas is to his party, so he'll done the ring ond go for him, but Legolas has keen senses, so if Bilbo wants to get to him without being heard, he will have to move very slowly, leading to Legolas droping a good amount of the dwarves by that time, so even if Bilbo manages to mortally strike Legolas (and thats a big if), the rest of the fellowship would already have the upper hand and clean house, leaving probably the 3 melee fighters with varying degrees of injuries (probably 1 in no fighting shape) and sam to contend with Bilbo, with Aragorn's tracking ability they will find Bilbo if he tries to go after them. And if he doesn't the will help (in whatever way they can) to Fellowship's Gandalf defeating Hobbit's Gandalf.
