The fight takes place in Times Square. Morals are off. Death ftw. No Prep. Picture Versions. Fantomex's gear is standard. Begin 25 FT.

Even with misdirection, how can Fantomex defeat Carnage? I doubt his guns will do crap to Carnage.

Fantomex has no way to beat carnage. One punch from carnage will kill him.

He doesn't have to hurt Carnage to win, trapping him in an illusion is good enough to count for incapacitation, at least according to the rules and every other thread Fantomex could use misdirection in.

From what I've seen, misdirection never lasts more than a few seconds. Fantomex can't really put Carnage down with his standard gear, so eventually misdirect will run out and Carnage will stomp him.

It lasted hours when Fantomex brought Jean and Professor X to his "house."

Well, even if Jean-Phillipe tricks Carnage with his misdirection, how the hell will he hurt him? I say Carnage takes it.

Forgot about that one. I've never been clear why he can do that, but then only misdirects Nightcrawler or Wolverine for a few seconds in the Dark Angel Saga. He uses it far less than I would in his shoes.

He doesn't usually feel the need to do it at long lengths most of the time.

He doesn't have to beat Carnage with his tools. He can have Carnage effectively defeat himself.

I wonder if misdirection can make someone hurt themself....the pain will most likely get them out of the illusion. I don't think he can make carnage hurt himself to the point to when he is KO'ed

Mind over matter. He can misdirect using a scenario that can convince Carnage it's in his best interests ...

Pages of X-Force. More specifically, "The Apocalypse Solution" storyline. Have you read much involving Fantomex?
