John has taken on demons far superior to Etrigan.

It really depends on the context. In a random 1v1 battle, I don't see what John Con can do against a serious Etrigan.

John wins by principle alone

It depends on the situation.

An Etrigan who had been asleep for thousands of years had his presence sensed all over the planet by multiple supernatural beings, as well as the Spectre who may have not even been on earth. When Constantine was a bit unnerved by him. And this was a weak as f*** Etrigan.

Etrigan is immortal, I think both sides can win and it should be via BFR, I don't see any other way to do that.

@koshi_waza88: Pre 52 he was. In Cosmic Odyssey, Darkseid easily manipulates him. And I'm almost sure he was manipulated by Neron and other beings.

Thing is JohnCon is always prepped so saying with prep he wins is a moot point.
