Slacker are you just trying to  make random battles now?
Lt was clearly  above thanos with ig
Eternity  stands no chance

Now  if this is to the death as the op stated
Thanos might asks  death(his  love) to let him live on as she has no claim on either  Lt or  thanos(ig)
But then again Lt could just strip Thanos of his power or erase him

Don't forget: LT stripped the Infinity Gauntlet from Adam Warlock.

Actually, Warlock surrendered the Gauntlet willingly. From what I recall, neither of them were entirely certain what the outcome of a battle between them would be.

Eternity is, of course, pathetically outmatched. Out of curiosity, does anyone know roughly when Eternity became a punk? I'm not sure I've ever seen him actually win a fight before (although when he combined with Infinity he did manage to beat Magus with the fake Infinity Gauntlet, which took out Galactus easily, so I guess he's got at least one good showing).

Really? I thought there was a point where LT took them from him.

Didn't the Living Tribunal - at some point - state that he was beyond the Gem's power?

Living Tribunal wins this fight

Again, Adam Warlock surrendered the Gauntlet willingly. Both he and the Tribunal were concerned that a battle between them would destroy reality, which neither wanted, so Warlock acquiesced. The Living Tribunal declared that the gems could never be used in unison after the Gauntlet had been dismantled. If he could have simply de-powered it at any time he felt like, then the entire confrontation between him and Warlock would have been easily avoided and quite pointless.

@Thor's hammmer: Again, that is after the gems were already dispersed. That doesn't mean he can do it just as easily while the Gauntlet is already functioning. The other scans also don't do anything to prove his superiority. He says he "represents" a power higher than the Gauntlet, not that he is a power higher than the Gauntlet. He restores order after Warlock's tantrum, but that was just Warlock knocking everyone around to show his superiority, not directly attacking the Tribunal or even using his maximum power on them. All it establishes is that the Tribunal is far above the other Cosmics present, not Warlock.

Again, if the Tribunal were as powerful as you're suggesting, then he could have just snapped his fingers after passing judgement and the Gauntlet wouldn't have worked. Instead he faces off with Warlock momentarily (which alone is enough to send the other cosmics reeling), The Tribunal himself saying that an actual battle between them would destroy reality, which causes Warlock to submit to his judgement.

That was before it was in use/power. Once it was in power and being wielded, he stated even he wasn't sure he'd be able to wrestle it from it's bearer with out devastating consequences.
