Although I think that Alfred would beat Jarvis during a "Dust-off" with a feather duster, can you imagine how much dirt and dust is in the batcave?!

Also, Jarvis has to clean up after a number of heroes and the building.

I have to give the "Feather Duster" event to Alfred. :P But Jarvis in all other rounds of the Butler-off.

I think Jarvis should because not only does he have to clean up after large numbers of people. In the Other, Pirate Spiders infested Avengers tower, and webbed up the entire interior, and exterior. Jarvis had to clean all that off.

As far as a battle, I think Jarvis can handle Alfred. Alfred's really thin, and is always getting sick. Jarvis on the other hand deals with pressure all the time, and doesn't really get sick. Hell, he even pimps out Aunt May, well... pimped her out. I think he can take Alfred.

Both are great but I'll give it to Jarvis on both accounts. He's a bit younger and that's the only edge I see between the two. Alfred is definitely cooler however.

It's the sign of a master butler. Two in one!

I could be wrong. I believe Alfred was Bruce's butler when he was a kid and worked for his father. Jarvis started when Tony was an adult. This really depends on which timeline we're using and I'm going with current continuity. That could make Jarvis 10-20 years younger. Again, I could be mistaken.

In a clean-up competition, I gotta give it to Jarvis, since he's experienced at cleaning up after several people, as well as large messes... In a fight, I couldn't say. I've never seen any of them in action before.

This has actually been done twice before.

Unarmed, Jarvis. Wasn't he British Air Force or something? I remember reading that somewhere, that he can actually do fisticuffs pretty well. But, if allowed to pick weapons? Alfred. I remember when Batman had to drag a dying Superman through the Gotham cities to the other entrance to his Batcave, and Alfred heard the noise, and went down there with a sawn-off, totally ready to take someone out if need be. He knows the psychotic streak of Batman's rogues, and he's not pussyfooting around.

Cleaning, Jarvis. I mean, it's not like Bruce really uses the bedroom, or anything else in the top of the house, and I assume aside from the occasional rat corpses left by Robin, Alfred pretty much gets paid to surf the web and rock out to Freebird. Actually, thinking about it, Alfred really wins this one.

Alfred has a gun. The butler off I'd say would be a tie.

I see Jarvis taking both an actual fight and a butler off.  In one of the Avengers issues Jarvis admits to a brief stint in boxing before becoming a butler for the starks.

Alfred, i mean Nolan version, was a spy, Burton/Shuymarkjer make all the things that the batcave have,Cartoon version was a spy and take down guy that try to kidnap him, comicbook version take down one of Ras bodyguards.
