Not true, Spectre could annihilate Eclipso any day of the week. Only when Eclipso receives a power boost, like the heart of darkness armour in the countdown to mystery, can he match the Spectre.
I think Eclipso is being underestimated here. He may not be as strong as the Spectre but he has to be near Thanos in terms of raw power... and if this is not so I need to see some proof

Ah Huh...but when did Darkseid show to be more powerful than Eclipso ? Was it before the Crisis on Infinite Earths ? Was this Pre Crisis Darkseid who had done this feat ?

He was capable of overcoming the whole shadowpact (though that isn't saying much) and throughout the day of vengeance he was immune to any physical harm. Black Adam broke his(her) neck, she smiled. Blue Devil pierced her with his trident, as soon as it was removed, she was back on her feet. Ragman tried to consume her, she burned out his suit. The Spectre is the unstoppable force in dcu, but eclipso himself is pretty powerful, indestructable at least to the lower tier magic users.

Honestly I'm not sure. This fight depends on which version of Eclipso is being used. Eclipso's power is very inconsistent. The one in those images is the Jean Loring version, which based off the images in the OP, I don't assume is being used.
@van_cere: I didn't get what you have said. You want me to prove that the Starheart is one of the top magical forces in the DCU? I was just arguing that Eclipso only defeated Spectre because of the Starheart, without it, it'd be impossible. Your first post was ambiguous, I don't know if you said that the Starheart didn't help him, or the feat with the Starheart is nothing impressive.
@van_cere: Defating Spectre, in any form, is a high feat, from what I've read, Eclipso used the power of the starheart to stop the connection between the Presence and The Spectre, and then, killing him.
The Full Starheart caused Alan to solo the DC earth, he was also able to mentally control Dr Fate.
The only way to kill Alan is draining the Starheart, he's almost invunerable to physical harm.
I've only got those ones today, I won't have time tomorrow, so I'll post more on Saturday.
Just to get the ball rolling, here are some of Eclipso's feats.
In above scans he killed the Spectre, absorbed his powers and sliced the moon in half. This all happened in JLA #57.
going by the op, this a random encounter with no power ups, standard characters/equip, that is a powered up Eclipso, I believe. Eclipso was never that powerfull on his own, heck, I remember him and DS playing chess on the moon in Eclipso's hide out in his own series!
I stand by my original statement, standard equip no power ups, I still think Thanos takes this.
