And what exactly is "unbound Eclipso" To my knowledge we've never seen him without a host. In fact without a host he's supposed to be powerless.

i was reading this old post and it came to me if she can make light cant she make some thing like sun light. that should send eclipso packing right? if he was talking about the spectre than the old spectre has this in the bag.

Don't know either character but since both (according to their CV pages) have the power of light projection they actually have a pretty good shot against a "standard" Eclipso.

You need to specify power levels your choosing for both if this actually is the Spectre that you have Eclipso fighting. Yes Eclipso has beaten the Spectre, and almost the Phantom Stranger before but several things made that possible.

1. In the JLA Ark he was amped bot by peripheral possession (not complete ) of Shade making the the "darkness" increase his power. he was also amped by the starheart using that darkness to allow him to possess Jade and access the starheart power. While amped by BOTH these factors he was easily able to beat Spectre.

2. In DOV there were more of the slithers of the black crystal (more of the entity at play), and Spectre wasn't linked (IIRC) to a mortal host taking away the moral centre and making him easier to subvert.

3.When he almost beat the Stranger, PS was depowered due to his choosing to intervene which was not part of his role. Eclipso was also at a higher powered ebb due to a cult worship of a lord of darkness increasing the level of Chaos and thereby the darkness (in this instance the metaphysical kind) that feeds his power.

4. the other peak time of Eclipso's power during the darkness within. Eclipso had again gathered many of the black crystal shards. he also operated from the dark side of the moon which meant complete darkness to max out his level

Even at his peak ALL out Eclipso would be no match for an ALL out peak Spectre. Eclipso no longer draws from the Presence the way that Spectre still can and does.
