Can four of the most impressively wanked characters in the Comicvine Pantheon take on the (arguably) most powerful superhero ever?

Yeah! Team selection was actually pretty difficult! I didn't want to make Solar absolutely stomp, nor did I want to get into the true omnipotent characters, or abstracts. They're no fun (because those arguments just go on forever).

I read up on Solar's powers but without feats to back them up with its kind of hard to say he could actually stand up to his team. Its also not clear which forms of energy he can absorb and which might harm him. He sounds a lot like Captain Atom or Dr. Manhattan.

He can absorb any energy.

He IS a lot like captain atom, and dr. manhattan, but more fully realized. whereas we can only assume how powerful manhattan is, Dr. Atom has shown us. The only time he actually "let loose" and dialed up his power, he ended up destroying his entire reality.

@rickythanos: As in his entire universe? It seems as though he would have to absorb quite a bit of energy first before he could do that. I would also question what sort of tp defense he has seeing as Galactus has top of the line tp and could therefore perhaps just immobilize him right off the bat before he got to absorb any energy.

This is incorrect. He had to amp to even bust a planet, and has had issues with guys far below those on this list. The original Valiant Solar, while overly amped and out of his mind, created a black hole, and destroyed the Earth, not all of reality. You have to remember, there were quite a few versions of Solar, the original Valiant version wasn't even planet busting level unless he absorbed massive amounts of energy.

At best, you could make arguments for him being around Justice League level in a one on one capacity with some of their higher level members.

He is not on the level of Galactus. The original Valiant Solar only destroyed the Earth while overly amped. He does have the power to drain a sun, which gives him enough to bust a planet.
