@The Time Keeper: Dr. Doom's magical powers would absolutely overwhelm Apocalypse.

@Edamame:

  I'm no expert on Apocalypse, but on his page, I see the following:

Apocalypse has virtually unlimited strength.

His transmutation ability limits aren’t known.

He has an awesome healing factor.

Technically he can resurrect himself.

He’s got some telepathic, telekinetic, and psionic abilities.

Apocalypse has been known to teleport.

He has transferred his consciousness into other bodies.

I am by NO MEANS counting Doom out of this fight, especially easily.  But I don't think that a genius human would defeat the (supposedly) oldest mutant in the world.  I just think you might be counting Doom as the winner a little early, my friend.   With one hour prep time, Doom MIGHT possibly win it, but I doubt it.  Doom is a brilliant genius, but I'm not sure he's one-hour-to-beat-Apocalypse genius.  Know what I mean?  In a random encounter, ALL my money goes on Apocalypse!!

@The Time Keeper: Selene is the oldest.

Doom's magical powers will crush Apocalypse.

@The Time Keeper:

Apocalypse has virtually unlimited strength. - I don't know that anyone has calculated Doom's strength in armor but I grant that Apocalypse is stronger.

His transmutation ability limits aren’t known. - I believe he has to retain him mass. (I think).

He has an awesome healing factor. - His armor does certainly. Not sure how it stands up to magic.

Technically he can resurrect himself. - I am presuming this is either him transfering his conciousness or using a sarchophagus neither of which is inherent to Apocalypse.

He’s got some telepathic, telekinetic, and psionic abilities. - I think these can be countered with magic and Tech in Dooms Armor.

Apocalypse has been known to teleport. - Not in combat that I am aware of.

He has transferred his consciousness into other bodies. - So can Doom. Both of them have to use Tech to do so.

#162 Posted by TimeKeeper (1222 posts) - - Show Bio

@Edamame:

Sure!  I just can't see Doom (a mortal human) defeating Apocalypse, especially when neither of them know they're going to fight.  Sure, Doom's got weapons and genius, but Apocalypse has just as much, if not more.  Telepathy, telekinesis, helaing factor, unlimited strength.....NONE of which Doom has.  Plus, just as Doom can fly, so can Apocalypse.  I'm not an expert on either character, by any means, so I'll ask honestly (because I don't know) what magical powers does Doom have that can take Apocalypse ?  (Meaning, how would he use them to defeat Apocalypse ?)

End with Doom and Apoc

My vote is to the good doctor. For Victor Von Doom shall prevail, though it will be a hard fought battle. That, however, depends on if Apoc has his "I forgot such an such power/resource" factor on or not.

It's my opinion for both fights that they'll be hard fought, though mostly on the fight with prep. Random battle I'll give it to Doom with more ease given his immense magical prowess.

Actually, there are countless threads with "Croc WITHOUT jobber aura" and "Croc WITH Jobber aura" in the title or rules, as well as tweaks done to the abilities of the opponents such as removing Martian Manhunter's psychic talents for a fight, or disallowing speed blitzing or BFR, etc. I don't recall the OP stating what power set Apoc's got for this fight and since his writing can be all over the place on which power he gets whenever, it's kinda in the air from my POV.

We are the writers of the battle forums, formulating what these characters will do!
Although we don't often include the text or a majority of the details involved in the story line, but hey its free!

@The Time Keeper: Dr. Doom is almost on Doctor Strange's level, in terms of magical powers. That simply means that Apocalypse loses.  Apocalypse is not even on Magneto's level.

He has. A couple of times IIRC
#177 Posted by TimeKeeper (1222 posts) - - Show Bio

I figured.  A lot of people say that Doom would automatically lose because of the whole magnetic thing, but Doom is SOOOO much smarter than that.  I think its ridiculous for anyone to think that Doom would go into a battle against Magneto with ANY kind of metal.  Whatev.
#178 Posted by Edamame (28136 posts) - - Show Bio
@The Time Keeper: Magneto can control anything, except for demonic or magical "things." Metal is not the only thing.

isnt it at the same level as galactuses technology doom  has taken galactuses power before and in any case reed richards could under stand it so that means doom can but in any case doom loses apocalypse is a power house and a prep master "
I believe Beyonder let them use his tech in  Secret Wars.

beyonders tech or celestials tech?  in any case doom most likely appocarch is to steal apocalypses power his usual routine (If you cant beat him with your own power than jack his power) "
Beyonders Tech.Celestial tech seems a little outdated in comparison.

@Lance Uppercut: Yes.

But what is the true nature of Apocalypse's Celestial Technology? It should be magical in nature itself. Can Dr. Doom's magical powers, or any of his powers for that matter, without prep, overcome it?
