Dr. Doom bested Galactus and Dormammu but....

Can he best Cyttorak?

Of course he can because cyttorak is featless.

@Killemall: Cyttorak powers Juggs. So is that not a feat for Cyttorak? for instance: if you put a powerful battery(Crimson gem) in a powerless flashlight(Cain Marko) don't you give the battery more credit than the flashlight?

That was a test to see if Marko was still worthy of the power. Cyttorak was basically influencing Marko with hate so that he would be worthy.

Granted that Juggernaut's powers come from Cyttorak, although the gem was actually created by the Trion Gods, his feats do not automatically translate to Cyttorak because the big C himself hasnt done anything like fight, or even stand up from the crazy chair of his. Even if you give all juggernaut's feats to Cyttorak he'd be what a strong guy with near invulnerability, if Doom can humble Galactus with prep, why would he not be able to do so to Cyttorak.

The Trion Gods didn't create "the original" Gem of Cyttorak. Cyttorak did. The Trion created the 2nd Gem to lure Marko. The Gem didn't give Marko additional powers, it became a beacon of sorts so that Juggernaut could find his way to the Trion Dimension. All the while, Marko was increasing his power set off of the original Gem (Infinite).

I don't know if he can or can't best Cyttorak. That's why I'm asking you guys for your thoughts and reasons.

With prep, Doom beats ANYONE, or so it seems. Without prep...Doom survives, so he can go get prep and continue the story in later issues, achieving massive power and then losing it...because Doom is so stupid/arrogant that he can acquire said power and not hold on to it.

One would think if he can prep to GET the power...he can prep to KEEP the power.

Doom with prep, Cyttorak goes down. Without it, Doom barely survives the encounter.

With prep, there are some who can defeat Doom.

@ShootingNova: Agreed, but Doom's standard storylines involve him prepping to beat whoever it is, at whatever level they are. That's my point: Doom is written to be such a genius, he can beat anyone, despite not having a realistic chance to do so. Or, as realistic as things can get in a comic book. But of course there are some with prep that can defeat Doom - even humiliate him.

@Killemall: Doom's best prep feats were during Secret Wars. Galactus/Beyonder. But didn't Beyonder make it so that if you wished for something it would come true? or some kind of probability altering? Like when Cap made his shield whole again. I don't remember all the details.

No. Doom already tried to get around Cyttorak by casting one of his spells without praising his name and the Crimson Bands turned against him. Doom was helpless. Another time before that, Doom tried to siphon the power of Juggernaut the same way he did Galactus and Beyonder and still could not control it. I highly doubt that Doom is able to face Cyttorak face to face if he can't do anything about the backlash effects. Guess why this is the reason why he properly invokes his spells now.

One does not simply use Cyttorak's power without 1st asking kindly.

Cyttorak is featless, but its power isn't.

Doom even bested the Beyonder.....now..that speaks volumes.
