Doctor Doom vs. Akuma

Doom in a stomp. Magic/lasers/missiles and the demon dies

Doom takes it pretty easily. Magic and science on his side. Akuma is vicious, but I don't see him taking Doom. Akuma loses based on intelligence also.

i feel like doom would sap the dark hadou from akuma

Doom's shields can take whatever Akuma can dish out, and Doom has way to much tech and magic at his disposal to lose this matchup.

I'm actually a bigger Akuma fan than Doom. He has done some ridiculous things, like kicking a nuclear submarine in half. and punching so hard that the wind from his fist bust trees. If he can get in really fast he could destroy Doom. He is fast and methodical... if he manages to pull of Shun Goku Satsu than Doom is doomed. If Doom keeps the fight at a distance he takes it.

Akuma has fairly low durability but massive attack damage (not just based off the games, the comics and anime also). Unlike Ken & Ryu he can fire multiple hadoukens at a time. He is arguably more powerful than Ryu, and he has been shown to completely vaporize enemies with a blast.

Doctor Doom would win handily. Akuma doesn't have a lot of consistent, on-panel feats. Doom is just too versatile for Akuma, not to mention leagues smarter (and with some combat prowess of his own).

I agree, but I'm going 7/10 because Doom has the advantage. Akuma does have teleport and if he could get in quick for a Raging Demon I see him winning but Doom without prep is still very good.

@fatalsniper728: His shields have tanked everything form magic to energy and 100+ ton hits. Doom's armor alone allows him to tank Hulk punches, match him for strength, analyze & syphon energy(magic, cosmic, psionic etc). Magic that regularly matches SS Dr Strange, SS Dr Voodoo, and floors The Thing & Skaar.

So explain to me how Akuma has a chance please?

Does Akuma's teleport let him travel through Limbo like Nightcrawler or Majick? That might be enough to get passed Doom's defenses but I doubt he could break that armor fast enough in a close range fight. The Raging Demon is fast but Doom would probably launch a counter attack before his suit could be completely breached by the punches.

When you're getting hit with raging demon you dont counter. You die. IF Akuma can use his teleport to get in close and use raging demon its over. In games raging demon hurts, in the movies and comics it kills. And since there is no prep Doom would not have knowledge of this ability. But all that being said I think its still a long shot. Doom has alot more going for him, which has already been stated. Could Akuma do it, yes he could, but its not likely. I give it to doom 7/10

Mismatch battle thread. Doom wrecks Akuma in every possible way. There are even gods that Doctor Doom could beat with some prep time.

A couple things:

1) Akuma can't teleport. Akuma's move in game is him just moving really fast a-la anime style. I don't think any media source for him, cannon or non-canon, has actually quantified his speed, but the asteroid punch he did in the comics (non-canon) would suggest he moves at or close to sonic speeds.

2) Akuma has great punching power but it has very little to do with his physical strength. Akuma is like Iron Fist in that it is his chi from which he draws strength and is able to do the awesome things that he does. With his chi Akuma can deliver hits that break mountains and asteroids, as well as everything else.

All that being said, Akuma looses to Doom for the simple fact that Doom can take everything Akuma dishes out, but Akuma can't take punches from Doom.

Another thing, Akuma doesn't use magic, and (iirc) with the RD Akuma needs to make contact with it victim to do any damage. Doom's suit protects him from any direct physical contact with Akuma.

Fairly certain that Dooms shielding is strong enough to handle Akuma 1000x over. I'd even go as far as saying he can handle Oni as well.

Unless this is PIS machine Akuma that went against Asura in the crossover, he has no chance.

@iamthewolf88: Doom stopped a full-force punch from Cosmic Hulk, tanked Iron Man's strongest blast without a scratch, took an angry headbutt from Banner Hulk with only a small dent to his helmet, took cheap shots from Sentry with minimal damage, resisted a kill-shot from MOD, etc.

There's nothing Akuma can do that Doom can't counter.
