I don't know, Doc Samson could outsmart the Thing during the fight but the Thing has the greatest advantage of winning since he is stronger and more durable, maybe Thing is also the better fighter being an accomplished wreslter but Samson has stood toe to toe with the Hulk but I feel he will lose this fight.

The Thing is currently rated (I think) around the 100 tonne mark. Doc Smason is around the 70 tonne mark. Although Samson is very durable (withstanding blows from beings his own strength without serious injury), I would say that the Thing is more durable. Samson may have the edge on agility and reflexes but remeber that the Thing's reflexes have remained at their above average human levels despite his larger mass (so as an atheletic human). Although Samson has grown in hand to hand combat ability, he is still not as good at hand to hand combat as the Thing. The Thing appears to have greater endurance. Finally although Samson can get around a battlefield faster (via his leaping), I don't think this will be a major issue.
With both of them having experience with fighting characters stronger than them, this should be a good one. The Thing is stronger and tougher but Samson doesn't tire and is faster.
I think the Thing is a little stronger, but Doc Samson has had some pretty good showings against the Hulk. The Thing is a good boxer and wrestler,both have gotten beat downs and have shown a lot of heart, Probably the Thing
Thing since he was able 2 make WW hulk bleed & even tho he got stomp afterwards dat is still a notable feat imo also samson WAS actually close 2 hulks lvl however banner got WAY stronger since da 70's & 80's
