Nuke is hopped up on his pills
Who is Nuke?
He was on Jessica Jones.
nuke pretty easily, he was strong enough to fight an injured jessica ( not saying much because she cant fight). Nuke is a trained soldier with superhuman strength, he wins

Diggle is also a trained solider who have experience fighting off people with enhanced abilities.
@the_kidd: true but Simpson has similar training, is willing to kill, and superhuman strength and durability. I think he can take Diggle
Simpson would be a pretty even match for Diggle when he isn't on steroids. Giving him pills makes this a bit unfair.

I'm not seeing it.

I kinda disagree. Nuke was shown to be a pretty okay fighter at best

I can see your point, but IMO he also didn't seem to be going all out by any means.

Actually I was talking about his showing against Kilgrave's bodyguards. He put up a respectable fight, but was getting beat up pretty often, something which I don't see particularly being a problem for Diggle.
It's just that Netflix seems to be making their stories a lot more grounded compared to the movie sides of the MCU or other TV shows. Which is why even guys like Daredevil sometimes struggle against ordinary thugs. That's what makes it so great.
@brucerogers: Only times Matt struggles against ordinary thugs are when he's injured, inconvenienced in some other way, or it's a low showing. Matt takes out common thugs pretty decisively at numerous points in the show. He's better than most of the Arrow street-levelers for my money, Diggle included.
As for this fight, Diggle dies due to his opponent being too strong for him.

I never denied that and I wasn't talking about Matt's inability to beat normal thugs. I was talking about struggling against them, as in he does take time to floor a single thug and it takes him a good deal of punches to do so. This was especially prominent in the first season. This honestly says more about the competence of his enemies, rather than any flaw on Matt's ability. I also agree on Matt beating guys like Diggle, but that discussion is for another thread.
I agree on Nuke winning this, but I was referring to him without his enhancements.

Ah, I don't remember that fight, I was thinking about the fight between Jessica and Patsy. Hmm, if I don't really know then. I'm a BIG Diggle fan, so I'm trying not to let that bias sway me either. I just don't know. I will however let your advice inform me.
Going with Diggle.
@heroup2112: Hehe, actually I was saying Diggle wins only if Simpson is not using his enhancements. Diggle loses this fight

Ah, I thought the contention was that Diggle fights powered beings all the time. Works for me. I just hate to see Diggle lose all the time..which if you think about it IIRC, he typically loses to metas and/or superior numbers.

Yeppers
My general rule of thumb is: Diggle is the best character on that show, and most of the reason I watch it. He gets pooped on too much and no love from the fans.
John Diggle for life, yo!

Agreed. I felt the same with Roy. Too bad he is written out

To be honest, never liked Roy...but everyone has their guy, y'know?

Fair enough.
Can Nuke even fight?
He is essentially just a brute. Police training is implied, but no feats to back it up.
@the_magister: Did he have any fight scenes other than fighting an already weakened Jessica?
@uugieboogie: I think Trish actually landed hits on him when he was unenhanced LOL
@the_magister: And didn’t Trish only have like a few lessons from the YMCA under her belt or something? Lol
@uugieboogie: Trish is a basic, learning practitioner of Krav Maga.
