Deoxys vs Mewtwo

Deoxys can only have one self at a time, but can use any form. Mewtwo is at peak. Both are bloodlusted, fight takes place in cerulean city. Who wins?

Mewtwo. I never liked the deoxys, or most of the third+ gen...

Bulbapedia (hehehe) gives Dexes a max of 600 stat points. Mewtwo has 680.

Mewtwo has the highest special attack of any pokémon except Deoxys in Attack Form. Deoxys is faster in all but defense form, but Mewtwo has a better Sp.Atk/Sp.Def ratio(more damaging attacks, takes less damage), and has a lot more HP. While all this would seemingly hand Mewtwo the victory, the only damaging move Mewtwo learn by leveling up are psychic and fighting, which only deal half damage to Deoxys. Things aren't much better for Deoxys, who learn only one attack that do more than half damage to Mewtwo, but it happens to be a dark attack... with a power of 20.

In short, neither pokemon have a significant advantage over the other, but Mewtwo would most likely outlast Deoxys.

Based on the movies... i say it difficult. Mewtwo displayed some more impressive destructive powers than Deoxys but Deoxys was able to copy himself like a thousands times and invaded an city and was figthing Rayquaza who he also an powerfull pokemon. IIRC his Hyper Beam or regualr beam or whatever crushed an barrier that was surrounding an building or an city. IIRC the second time Deoxys wasn't trying to fight Rayquaza he was trying to find his other self. Also worth mentioning Deoxys can regenerate...

Based on base stats, Mewtwo wins.

Mewtwo also has much higher feats than Deoxys. Mewtwo is a fairly high level TKer, and isn't afraid to use his powers.

Deoxys. He can switch between attack, defence and speed in an instant. He could block all of mewtwos attacks, be faster and hit harder in the blink of an eye.

He can copy himself and regenerate. He was took down Rayquaza and slammed him through buildings.

Sine this discussion hasn't come to a conclusion, just an answer based on facts: Deoxys IS in fact stronger. In the official Pokémon manga Mewtu used by Red battled Deoxys used by Giovanni. Mewtu got wrecked. Like I mean completely destroyed. All his attacks were utterly useless because Deoxys instantly switched to defensive form when an attack was incoming switched to speed form to get close to mewtu and switched to attack form before every attack.

Mewtu could only win, because Giovanni got cocky and ordered Deoxys to ignore (the almost beaten) Mewtu and attack Red. Mewtu used this opportunity and attacked Deoxys from the back right through its already severely weakened core crystal (Pikachu used Thunder on it and Mewtu shot a psychic projectile through it before), which made it switch its shape uncontrollably.

In the real fight though Mewtu got hit by almost all of Deoxys attacks, a Psycho Boost and it got stabbed from Deoxys tentacles easily (which he all only survived due to recover).

I feel bad for that Mewtu guy, however Mewtwo on the other hand beat Deoxys. Deoxys isn't stronger..You seem to forget that Mewtwo can do this little thing called mega evolve

deoxys, mewtwo is two over-hyped he's NOT the strongest pokemon ever made. correct me if i'm wrong but an't deoxys regenerate instantly like majin buu. not to mention deoxys is psychic too. deoxys can also create multiple copies of himself he can also transform in to forms that amplify his defense, attack, and speed. oh and there's that force field which took rayquaza god knows how long to break through. rayquaza is a high tier legendary pokemon.
