Hmm, Garra. Deidara won through exploiting Gaara's love for his villagers, IIRC.

if gaara can finish deidara fast, then gaara... or else this would come eventually

Gaara should win, he won't fall for the same trick twice.

Gaara, asssuming he ends this quickly.

There's not as much sand to work with here, but I'm going with Gaara anyway.

So basically the question is "can Gaara finish this battle quickly?"

What can Gaara do about microscopic bombs? Deidara was trying to capture, not kill the first time.

I'm not sure C0 would be necessary. C4 could have really wrecked Gaara had Deidara used it. But the point of his fight was to incap.

Not let him do it? Only reason Deidara was able to use C4 was because Sasuke just stared blankly at him while he set it up.

@rulerofthevine: How will he see the bombs though? The giant clone just deflates without any visible bombs or dangerous explosion. Gaara doesn't know the blast radius like sasuke with sharingan. If he gaara does fly away can't deidara just sneak small bombs inside his sand cloud and blow his legs off?

He doesn't need to see them, he will go for where Deidara himself is. And Deidara can't just sneak bombs on his sand, Gaara will be extra careful due to his previous loss.

in character gaara wastes no time in setting up the same kind of sand defence as before. but his attacks are faster, more fluid and with wider variety.

he knows how he was beat last time.

but so does deidara. deidara said he was unprepared and was finding it difficult to win without killing him.

off the bat, deidara uses C4 and wins. he can make C4 in mere seconds, and load a clone up with the mini bombs. only reason sasuke survived this move was because of his raiton

Gaara.

Deidara. He's fast enough to dodge gaara's initial attacks, and even when gaara can tank his c3, c4 should pretty much be it - Gaara has no idea what it does. It's possible for him to interrupt deidara though, but knowing him he'll probably focus on a powerful defense - which will pretty much be useless.

Think Deidara can beat him again

Deidara wins. During their first fight, he was trying to capture Gaara alive, and Gaara has absolutely no way to defend against C4.

I dont care if Gaara fanboys or just people say he wasnt even trying to kill him because of his villagers, Deidara wasnt even trying to kill him either cause they needed him alive for the Jin extraction. He outsmarted him quite perceptively and in a fight to the death Gaara wont survive C4

Keeping close with Deidara like he was doing so in the original fight.

Gaara since knowing Deidara's character will become cocky and arrogant and that will blind him making Gaara imprison him

@thatguywithheadphones: Are you implying, then, that C4 would also affect Deidara? That is to say, the counter for C4 is being at a close distant to the user?

I honestly think Deidara has a counter for it so whether Gaara is close or far doesn't make much of a difference.

If you remove C4 from Deidara's assets then Gaara shoudl take this.

Of course. Other wise, why else would he give his jutsu a massive tell by making sure to be right out of its area of effect?

C4 might be a problem but I'd actually say Gaaras sand can tank it if in the right quantity, I don't see deidara winning without it.

Gaara should take this. Sasukes sharingan isn't what made him see the bombs he just noticed deidara moved out of the way of the blast radius from his own c4. Plus gaara has the sand ball and escape the c4 unharmed. Deidara had info on gaara carrying a specific amount of sand he used for attack and defending as well. The info was given to him by the akatsuki. Deidara as well used the shit ton of sand gaara could have used to attack him to force him to defend instead.

I believe Gaara can take it under these circumstances.

Deidara wins. Gaara's fighting style isn't at all suited for this. You need someone fast, offensive & agile.
