Purpose of the HOF

Contrary to what most may believe, the HOF is about more than just back patting and recognition. It's about endorsing the values we want to see more of on our forum. There is an old saying, "You catch more flies with honey"................ and it's true. Recognize the things you like with praise and more will want to do them for the recognition. This is your chance to positively influence our community.

Please no negative comments about any user or anyone's choice. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Rules

1. Everyone can vote for only five of the nominees on the nominee list below. No complaints about the list will be accepted as it was made by the community in an open nomination process
2. You cannot vote for someone twice
3. You cannot vote for yourself, though campaigning is allowed
4. Please base votes on the behaviors of the debaters listed and the talent they have shown in their debates
5. No derogatory comments about other members choices
6. Please provide a brief reason why you voted for the viner you have ( it might just eliminate the usual negative comments about the list/process/ etc.)

@ghostravage - He knows his stuff. Very precise, pays attention to detail. It's hard to deny this guy a vote because he's just so damn precise. I'm surprised he didn't get in last time.

@cosmicallyaware1 - Very ambitious, has a lot of knowledge in regards to Marvel cosmic powerhouses.

@veshark - A heavyweight, he argues his point well. I certainly respect him.

@granitesoldier - An entertaining debater. He is often very objective and willing to change his mind.

@dccomicsrule2011 - Definitely improved over the years since he first began debating. Very rational debater.

• Cosmicallyaware1 - This man has been busting his a** trying to debate with anyone and everyone to show off his skills and have a fun time doing it. He doesn't care about winning or losing, he cares about the thrill of a debate and learning from his foes in each and every encounter. He is also one of the most humble users I've met on the site and has a top notch attitude that I could never hope to achieve when it comes to debating. He deserves to get into the HOF this round.
• Higorm - I don't know how I got in before Higor, especially since Higor is one of the users who helped me get to where I am today. Back when I was a brand new user he created the Debaters Rating Thread and gave me some of the most useful advice as I tried to get better and better. He gave me great feedback in each of my debates and I think that's the sign of a great debater. His own matches are also incredibly fun to read and he's just a great user who makes these forums a cooler place to be.
• Veshark - Veshark is an absolute MONSTER when it comes to debating. I still find myself in awe with the way he can craft his debates and get his points across with clarity and finesse. He was absent from the site for a period but it looks like he's making a return just in time for me to give him this vote.

I still have two votes left and I need to think about who I want to vote for.

@higorm old friend, been here forever, has many epic debates, and I am just surprise he has not made it yet.

@ghostravage Seriously, this man has not made it yet? I was shocked when he wasn't. One of the old guard, and still active after all this time. One of the few Hulk go to guys I know too.

@juiceboks Active debater for awhile now, and posts his thoughts often on forums, as well a active competitor in CaVs and Tourneys.

@boschepg very underrated, and one of the few guys I consider higher tier when he gets into CaVs or Tourneys. Not a casual debater of the forums, but a player non the less.

@cosmicallyaware1: is not only the best non HOF active debater here, he's a stand-up guy. I still remember when he offered to teach me the art of debating after I got my *ss kicked by ssj_god. He got me so good that I'm about to beat HIM in our superman vs quasar debate ;P

@ghostravage: Superman vs Thor debate. Enough said. Maybe this can compensate for my late response in red hood vs daredevil :)

@higorm: one of the best formatters on the site and a great debater as well with logical, coherent points. Still punked you in that finals debate though ;)

@serrure: if he was still active he'd have a lot more votes. Possibly the best cosmic marvel debater on the site, excluding other hall of famers.

@sovereign91001: was extremely good in his 2v2 debate with Ronan, and although I'm going to beat him pretty badly in our own 2v2 (kidding) he was very good at the start of that as well.

i'm only voting this based on whose debates i've seen and liked.. this solely depends on what i've seen.. and i surely haven't seen all of you guys good debates.. so if someone feels left out.. then do pardon me please

• dccomicsrules2011 - One of the best Star Wars debaters on the site. DC deserves his spot in the hall of fame.
• pope052 - Definitely one of the best anime debaters around.
• Edamame (vote for you every year, I think) - While he hasn't debated in awhile, I still think he is deserving. He is / was one of the best X-Men debaters.
• fallschirmjager - Generally an overall good debater in many areas.

In perfect honesty, I am very doubtful of my chances at even getting 4 votes, and there are many other's who are more deserving. However I wholeheartedly believe I am atleast partially deserving of a spot in the hof. Id like to think my debating prowess has improved immensely since even 6 months ago, an that I'm genuinely on par with the likes of many debaters who are already in the HOF as far as skill goes, all previous satire about me being the best aside. I realize now even with my debates with noteable greats, my main problem as my presumptuous attitude and my tendency to simply throw scans around instead of actually debating my point a and then substaniating it with proof. I'd like to think my best example of my current level of skill is showcased in my most recent debate with TNBB.

@higorm- He's a brilliant debater, i have never seen him simply post scans for his argument in fact i rather enjoy his lack of scans and his more logical approach presenting only what he needs to and convincing us with the quality of his debate rather than image

@cosmicallyaware1- His arguments are always on point and perfectly formatted. I have debated against him 4 or so times and still not managed a win (although recently i have been improving Cos :D beware...)

@ghostravage- Honestly he's taken on the greats before and won there's no reason he shouldn't already be here

Ghostravage - arguably the best debater on the site and despite tons of CaVs I don't think he's ever lost, he deserves a spot on the hall of fame.

Acidskull - the sites second 'mister hulk', despite not being as good a debater as a few of the nominees here, he makes up for it with sheer knowledge on pretty much anything he talks about, including (but not limited to) halo and hulk. He deserves a spot on the hall of fame.

serrue/Kidman - serrure is a great debater, he delivered me my first loss and has so many people he can debate with. Gambit, adam warlock and even gladiator, and despite all of this he hasn't even hit his peak yet.

I'll reserve my last two votes for now.
