Deathstroke vs Superman (Read)

Scenario:

Lex Luthor hires Slade to kill Superman.

Slade has access to all the kryptonite or red radiation resources he needs thanks to Luthor's assistance..

Slade has a month to prepare and he is going to infiltrate Clark Kent's house...(He knows Superman's identity for the scenario)

Clark is unaware that he is going to be attacked and is home alone watching TV..

NO BFR

No outside help

Morals ON

Can Slade fulfill his contract?

He will do to superman what he did to Supergirl in the battle of Khandaq, basically use a kryptonite sword. However, he got the sword from Lex, the idea and his resources would allow him to replicate one.

Super hearing alerts Clark well before Slade gets in the house.

Nope... If that was the case I would have made this bloodlusted for Clark and with no prep for Slade whatsoever... Then again I think this is a fair match considering Clark's morals and Slade's prep prowess...

@reaverlation: Superman has confronted Slade multiple times I might add, not one scenario ended with that outcome. Especially when he pulls a kryptonite sword out of a lead hilt, something Superman wouldn't expect, just like what he did to Supergirl.

nope Slade is not stupid he knows that Superman has super hearing.

He would do something different, like a kryptonite time bomb that will blow up the house, once done he would go in with his kryptonite sword and finish Superman, that would be weakened by the explosion.

IMO yes he could do it, but he needs all info on Superman's powers

@parryboy: goes to Clark Kent's house, think he will want to immediate give away his true identity to someone like Deathstroke, he has no idea Slade knows he is superman. He will then try to ask Slade what he is up to, he NEVER blitzes someone like that, people like Clark always try and talk before any sort of violence occurs. Not to mention all Slade has to do is get close enough to have the kryptonite effect Clark which wouldn't be hard with this amount of prep. He can literally airdrop kryptonite around Clark's house and keep him from leaving, he has soo many options.

@parryboy: he will know Slade is at his house after he uses X-ray vision, however, he would not react with hostility first, there has been a few altercations with Superman and Slade, and not one of them did Superman not talk to Slade first which is where Slade will be close enough to affect him with a kryptonite sword. It is actually almost too easy, this guy took down the justice league (without superman) with a set of explosives and a laser pointer, imagine when he actually has an unlimited supply of Superman's greatest weaknesses... Too easy.

Possibly but the difference between the physicals is still huge. All Supes needs is one clean hit. But y'know, it could be done seeing as how Deathstroke has surprised Supes with his agility before. Seeing as how morals are on for Clark, I think Slade can do it. But I could see it going either way, really.

@cable_extreme do you have scans of the Deathstroke vs. Supergirl fight? Also, do you know if he's ever fought Superboy? I think he would do quite well against most kryptonians with a decent amount of prep.

@cf12793: I don't have access to my computer for another 2-1/2 weeks. But he used a kryptonite sword he got from Lex Luthor and drew blood, and almost killed her.

That is still stupid... Slade would never hide in Superman's house knowing that Clark has superhearing and x-ray vision...

that plan still involves a lot of useless risks, what if superman see he's carrying kryptonite? what if he fly away out of range before it has effect?

he would make a better plan, but i agree to the fact that he could do it, i'd say with a 90% chance in this scenario

Superman disarms him before he blinks, leaves him without clothes in the middle of a desert in another blink and then says, talk.

@ghostravage: not even close, how do you suspect Clark to do that when he has kryptonite and red radiation all around him? How is it so easy for Batman to simply pull out kryptonite from his belt to stop a mind controlled Superman, but someone with better stats, similar prepping ability can't do it with unlimited amount of kryptonite and red radiation against a superman with morals and unsuspecting?

@annoyedimmortalspirit: it worked on Supergirl, lead box means he couldn't see a thing, and I am just saying simple ways, there are many factors he could do, such as simply setting up traps of kryptonite around his house that cover all the exits. He can do so since his footsteps wouldn't sound any different than anyone else walking down the street.

If you take Clark's senses around, he would be seeing the kryptonite, and fly away as fast as possible. If the sword was sheated, then Clark doesn't have a problem, he could finish it sooner and with less damage.

Slades got this, he hides in clarks house wearing a lead cloak of invisibility, waits until night, has kryptonite airdropped all around his house and comes at him with a red sun radiation flashlight, plus changed some of his lights with red sun raitation lights installed with a clapper, then attacks him with a kryptonite sword

The Ikon suit couldn't handle a barrage of punches from Superman and was disabled in their most recent fight.

Slade still easily takes this. Ikon suit etc. plus hes evaded Supes before with ease.

Really? Ok. I haven't read the actual book,but rather I just heard that Superman wasn't able to faze Slade with the Ikon. Had no idea that it was unable to tank Superman. Also didn't know it was disabled. Anyways, if this is the case, then Slade might lose.

@wolverinebatmanftw: Slade fought Superman in Superman 32, and the Ikon suit was disabled by Superman. It should be noted that Clark was holding back at that time. Ikon suit is an impressive gear, but against someone like Superman it wouldn't help much.
