Honestly, as much as I love Revolver Ocelot, he talks too much, Slade will use that against him.

Slade will get shot, probably more than once, but without knowing what Slade can actually live through, Adam is going to start gloating or preaching about his view of the world, and end up shot or stabbed.

Slade wins 6 maybe 7 out of 10.

I don't think Ocelot is the type to lose because he talks too much. There's a difference between a character being arrogant, and just having dialogue during a fight. When he was younger he was arrogant, but by MGS1 he's completely mellowed out.

Pretty much every comic book fight is chuck full of dialogue, but we never think of that as a hindrance.

That's the battle forums' double standard against non-comic book characters. Things that we just roll our eyes at for Batman or Captain America need to be explained for Ocelot or Snake.

no. although that is technically the first arc in the new 52 for slade. thats why arc 1 slade is a stupid name.

He didn't shoot lightning, he used his bullets to redirect the direction of lightning since metal is a good conductor of electricity.

Dialogue is necessary in comics to move the story along in a way that it is not in video games. A spectator benefits from the use of motion, real-time or otherwise, to tell as large a chunk of the narrative as necessary. Comics don't have that luxury.

There should be two different standards for these mediums.

This post is TOTALLY a double standard. If you think comics are allowed to have dialogue during fights to move the story along, why can't other mediums have dialogue to move their story along too? You expect the story to be told through motions?

I feel like deathstroke should win but its hard to say if he has the feats to win with just this one arc alone. Especially since he was apparently not at his best through out this whole arc....He is more durable and stronger. In terms of sheer combat ability he did hold his own with batman and as I said in the other thread I felt Slade had the upper hand in the end of the fight, but than again Ocelot stomped old snake, so there probably comparable in sheer melee capabilities. Slade does have better weapons for a melee fight, and with his greater durability and strength so Slade probably wins a majority in melee fighting due to that, all though Ocelot probably isn't helpless. All though in terms of range capability he doesn't have any accuracy feats in this one arc alone which is a problem. He has better range weapons than ocelot but he is pretty out classed in accuracy if we limit him to just this one arc.

I think the point is Ocelot reacted to Volgins lightning not that he literally shot the lightning....

Well new 52 Slade did go toe to toe with batman but it hasn't been confirmed if he is faster than batman. I can say he is since he is a metahuman, but you also have to keep in mind this version of Slade is slower, weaker, thinks slower, heals slower, and is thrown off his game by having 2 eyes.....This isn't Slade at his peak being used in this thread.
