Death(dc) vs Death(marvel)

Who wins and why.

I would have to go with Marvel's Death.

Marvel's death is completely omnipotence and omnipresence. Also she have limitless cosmic energy. So i think marvel's death win here.

Marvel's death is on par with a fully fed galactus, Oblivion, Eternity, Infinity, Cthulhu, Khtanid, And Hastur. They are surpassed only by infinity gauntlet/beyonder level beings and Azathoth/Living Tribunal/Spectre level entities As well as One Above All/The Presence/Heart of the universe/DC God/Yog Sothoth level entities.

DC's Death is above Gods and cosmic beings, too. She's Endless. She will be the last thing remaining in the universe when this world ends, and she will be the one to "put the chairs on the tables, close the lights and lock the universe up behind me when I leave".

Plus she's awesome. She wins IMO.

Neither can win...you can't beat Death if your Death.

I much prefer the skeleton version of Death, giving Death a gender just seems strange to me. Skeleton depicting was more...interesting, vague, cold, mysterious and so forth. Abit if they have to, could at least change it up in comics.

@thewhitecrownofphoenix_stormfo: True, but it to me paints a better picture for Death as a character. Which I know in some religions, there are Death personas that are flesh male or females. But when you add a skeleton in a dark robe, coming to you to guide the souls away, it just seems better because you don't really see a gender, all you see is some skeleton, plus it adds more of a creep factor.

Cthulhu = Galactus? LOL. Galactus >>> Cthulhu. Superman > Cthulhu for example.

They said I laugh like the joker, batman, and grim reaper combined lol. They edited out my face and put a skeleton under hood of my cloak. I got an A for the project.

I say death of the endless wins because she's a more interesting, well developed, and fun character. She breaks all the norms unlike the typical skeleton death.

I just want to point out that Marvel death actually does have some high end feats.

It was revealed that 4 Celestials where the ones responsibly for creating the whole Marvel multiverse (And the Marvel multiverse has always had an infinite ammount of universes, arguably trans-infinite) and keep in mind this was only 4 Celestials. Never mind the entire Celestial race which are like billions of them:

And yet when The Many-Angled Ones using the Galactus Engine from the Cancerverse attack the 616 universe an army of Celestials (And 4 is apparently enough to turn a universe into a multiverse as shown in the scans above) along with Galactus and a bunch of Marvel heroes were struggling against the Engine:

And yet Marvel Death was able to destroy the Galactus Engine and the Many-Angled Ones with but a wave of her hand:

Not all celestials are equal in power, just like every army in fiction... those celestials had the power to create but as u and I can see, they aren't all powerful since they can't even destroy their own creation.

The other entities such as infinity death etc might not have such power to create as much as those 4 celestials but still have enough to destroy even the celestials themselves

That's why the celestials rank way lower in the marvel heirachy.

Dcs death still wins this

Neither has the ability to kill... err, "end" each other. However, when I die, I'd like to see DC Death coming to claim me. It'd be nice to see some friendly face and have her give me some comfort in the moment of my death.

Death has already been confirmed as capable of claiming other abstracts who fall under her banner, like Nekron and the Black Racer. She's not just a physical death, she's the death of concepts, points of view, abstractions, etc. Hence why she has claim over all of her siblings, Michael, Lucifer and pretty much everything in Creation. She functions more like Oblivion than Mistress Death.

She wins.
