Unicron's bigger than the yavin planet. It would take multiple death star lasers to kill unicron and by that time unicron would have eaten the first death star since it fires once every 24 hours.

Unicron is bigger in every way. The death star is 160km in diameter. Unicron is 120,000 km in diameter. The death star will be squashed like a insect.
