Ion can change the past without causing consequences and altering the future, something even Doom with Pre Retcon Beyonder's power could not do, he could change the past but he can't do it without altering the future, he explains so in this scan, Not saying Ion could have beat Beyonder, just showing that he could do stuff which Beyonder's power can't do
