Is this a joke? Dante is faster, stronger, a better fighter, and shrugs off bullets and blade wounds like they are nothing. Deadpool has a high pain tolerance, but he doesn't stand a chance here.

Dante is stronger, faster, smarter, better at h2h, more agile, better reaction, better swordsman, MUCH better marksman, and has a better healing factor on top of incredible durability. The only time he has been killed is by HIGH level demons with demonic magic and crap and even then he only stayed dead like for 5 seconds

Dante in a massive curbstomp, especially since he doesn't have to reload, unlike Deadpool, whose weapons follow real world laws.  This is ignoring everything else Dante can do to turn Dead Eye Wade into a street smear.

I know this post is old but whatever. As far as just charters go, They are both Awesome but there is no way either of them could win in a fight outside of a game. They are both almost immortal. Yeah, I know Dante is a super fast super strong half  demon  with an attitude and family issues, but Deadpool has proven time and time again that he can overcome ridiculous odds and even supernatural enemies. If he can survive The Hulk, The Punisher, Bulls-eye, The Thunderbolts, The Avengers, X-Force, Vampires, an onslaught of killer mimes, Strife, Black Swan, Cat, Hit Monkey, Asmodeus(full Demon BTW), Wolverine, and being drawn by Rob Liefeld, then surviving a fight with Dante doesn't really seem like it should be a problem.  
 In game though, I just don't know yet.  Dante seems like a really powerful character, more so that Deadpool, but a pro with a rock could be a novice with a sword any day so I guess I will just have to play the game and find out.

Healing limbs has not prevented Deadpool from being knocked out which is a way for Dante win or from being incapacitated ie being sliced in half or being decapitated which could down him long enough for the win. Dante does not need to kill him to win. And confusing opponents is a poor excuse of an argument because it doesn't guarantee wins for Deadpool either. He isn't a better swordsman than Dante, a better marksman than Dante, is not more agile than Dante, isn't remotely faster or stronger than Dante either. He isn't the proven best fighter in Marvel, I have zero idea where you even got that. Captain America, Black Panther, Wolverine, Iron Fist, and Daredevil are proven better fighters than him and that is just naming a few. Deadpool has zero way to win this.

What are Dante's feats? I've never played the Devil May Cry series, so I'm just curious as to why this is such a curbstomp.

@cf12793: Class 100+. Speed enough to fight with his brother so fast that their swings prevent a pouring rain from hitting the ground until they clash. He also ran down the side of a tower after throwing his sword down it, and his hand was catching on fire when he was running down it. Bullets don't penetrate his bones. He's had multiple scythes stab him in the body, and he just walked around to hit a jukebox pulling them out, healing instantly. He's been impaled on like people sized swords and he pulls himself through the sword and heals virtually instantaneously again. He's like Deadpool in regeneration, but he's just massively stronger, faster, and is an incredibly skilled swordsman in his own right.

I was going to try and make a case for Deadpool.....but I basically can't lol who knows what Capcom were thinking when they matched these guys up.

@cf12793: That was younger Dante when he was like 19-20 IIRC in the games. He didn't have any class 100 feats at the time yet, but the game arguably had his best speed feats that I can think of. The other games are him like 5-10+ years older and has only gotten more powerful in that span.

Sigh.

I see two scenarios:

Dante stomps Deadpool so hard that Deadpool runs back to Wolverine and the weaker characters that he usually deals with from time to time.

Another scenario could be that the two team-up and end up causing issues for both their universes...
