DC's Earth heroes vs Metroids

Space pirates attack multiple points across Earth carrying with them a 100 Metroid Queens and a host of other metroid forms.  The Pirates themselves are dispatch fairly quickly by the JLA but not be for initializing a massive beta wave emitter that covers the globe.  The metroids divide and multiply into the millions.  With no prep or prior knowledge, can the DC heroes save earth? 
 
Morals apply 
 
Metroid Queens take refuge undergound allowing the lesser forms to run rampant.  The queens continue to create more and more metroids.

@onilordasmodeus: Well without prep anyone without ice powers is going to be eating very quickly by the millions of immature metroids.
