I'm thinking Cap would wipe the floor with her..he'd be able to block any pyrokinetic attack with his shield..and he has the upperhand in unarmed combat...

i think cap would win

I will go with Dazzler with this one.

Captain America may have ways not to be dazzled with her light display but he can not just dodge laser beams coming from all possible directions at once.

Especially if she blinds him first, which she could easily do. Her flight and energy barriers would make it impossible for Cap to hit her if she uses them.

Why would anyone think Cap would win?

Unless he went completely out of characters and shot her before she made a move.

It's not like Cap wouldn't know she was going to try to blind him.

She's not exactly a skilled combatant either.  Just blasts away.

I think Cap can take her.

What's he going to do to prevent her from blinding him?

You don't need to be a skilled combatant when you can put up a force field that prevents all your enemy's attacks. She could "blast away" from safely inside a dome of solid light in too many directions for Cap to defend against at once.

So he loses his vision voluntarily instead of having her do it? Either way, he can't see. And he can't do that fast enough anyway. If she flashes brighter than a star, he'll be blinded at light speed, before he even moves to raise his shield.

What Vance said.

And her forcefield isn't used very often and she's a generally incompetant fighter.

what she lacks in fight she makes up for in other areas....she has distance, she can create holograms/illusions, forcefields, she just has more at her disposal than he does

Look at what I said to Vance.

She used her forcefield quite a bit during her recent time in Excalibur and though she died a couple times over the course of the series, she was able to hold her own against the enemies she faced, from mercenaries to mutants to alternate Captain Britains.

I stopped reading Excalibur after the first couple issues.

Juggernaut is boring as a hero.  Never take a concept that Chuck Austen came up with and run with it.

The only interesting character on that whole team was Nocturne.

I would have stopped but I like Pete Wisdom too much.

Unless Dazzler got way better during Excalibur, yeah.

She's always been a complete pushover.  This is the girl that koed herself trying to hurt the Juggernaut.  He didn't even have to hit her.  She's more of a singer than a superhero.

Cap's taken down tougher people than her.

Gah, I hate Pete Wisdom.  What a pedo.

Lockheed > Pete Wisdom.

Lockheed, Kitty, Megan, Rachel and Nightcrawler are what made Excalibur great back in the day.

Take all of them away and replace them with boring characters like Imposternaut, Dazzler and Sage and you've got yourself a crappy book.

I'm not even making fun of the guy.

Pete Wisdom is a creeper.  He was like 30 and sleeping with a 16 year old.

hmm.. any mutant > super human imo..

but cap's got skill and brains.. and guts.

i think he can pull off some crazy ploy of taking dazzler out without killing her. like a karate chop to the neck.

Flash is Superhuman and Quicksilver is a mutant, right?

Flash > Quicksilver

Just one example.

flash is DC. DC superhumans are more powerful than the marvels

#34 Posted by Buckshot (18915 posts) - - Show Bio

mutant: beak

superhuman: spider-man

That better?

This is Cap.  The Uberbat of MARVEL.  Dazz has to lose.   (But I think Dazz could really kick Bucky's butt all over the room.)
