He's had some encounters with him although I have yet to see the entire series of NG, The encounters I remember DATA has had help and the other one Data gets knocked out or something like that. He went back to Dr.Seung(sp) place and he had a chip to make him more human. I may be wrong but Lore was there since he stole the chip.
I don't think Lore knocked him out, because knocking out Data would be nigh impossible for him to do. See the problem with Data is, he's extremely trusting, that's probably how Lore was able to shut him down in the first place.

But neither of them can KO one another. Their andriods and one of the most durable parts of their body is their skulls, Data has some pretty crazy feats that he survived thus far. The closest thing I've seen to a KO is shorting out his insides in his head.
How is there supposed to be a winner here? They are exactly the same! The only difference is a litle programming and their names. However I think Data might win because he has been in more fights than Lore
