A flat playing field, no weapons.
I'm guessing that Data would win. I don't know if he's as strong as a terminator but I'm pretty sure he's smarter and faster.
i'm sure he is smarter, though that might not help if there's nothing around for him to use... i bet he's faster too but those terminators just dont stop... i dont know enough about data.
lol and no weapons? the squid! unless it was the liquid terminator. that one might be able to pull it out!
"Data is smater and quicker."I would not count on that... depending on which Terminator model you are using... cause the T-X could kill Data easy
Data has a tricorder , so T-X isn't gonig to sneak up on him. He'll know where she is, and with his smarts be able to defeat it using his surroundings.

Yeah but the post says NO weapons. In which case Data could also have a phaser, and vaporise the T-X.
"Yeah but the post says NO weapons. In which case Data could also have a phaser, and vaporise the T-X."Indeed... but technically... the weapons that T-X have are a part of her body ( not separate from her )... so technically she is unarmed until she generates the weapon from her arm... but on the other hand The Phaser is a separate weapon that is not apart of Data... so its not the same...
That is true. But Data still has his tricrder, which he could use to reprogram the T-X. Tricorders are capable of communicating with non-Starfleet computer systems.

Data is very durable, after all, in Star Trek first contact, he has made a huge jump, than has take a lot of bullet without even really being damaged. He's smarter and can solve problem without killing everyone in sight.
So... my bet is on Data.

Data.
Like the terminator he can take a entire burst without a scratch after a huge fall wihout even a hint of damage. And yes, he's smarter and faster. A T-800 model with the basic programming doesn't stand a chance...
Edit : Oups ! I see I've already replied to this thread !

The Terminator would beat Data. It doesn't have an off switch on the back of it's head.

Data kills Borg Drones with his bare hands. Star Trek tech is way more advanced than Terminator tech. This pretty much boils down to 24th century technology versus 21st century technology.
Data was always trying to be more human, to understand emotions. The Arnold terminator in T2 started to feel a connection to John. I say they have a robot pity party, expressing their emotional frustration with each other. While they are talking, Data mentions his brother Lore and the emotion chip. At this point terminator gets an idea. He turns off Data with the concealed master on/off switch located just below his right shoulder blade. Remember, terminator has ability to analyze machines and use them. He then removes his skin and puts on Data's. He then goes on to impersonate Data so as to get aboard the Enterprise where he proceeds to terminate everyone. He then uses the Enterprise to track down Lore and get the emotion chip. Now we have terminators that not only kill, but enjoy it.
Data is stronger then a Borg drone, but I doubt he is as durable as the Terminator(and is he stronger? he has not done any true impressive strength feets), he is faster and more creative though. He had his head ripped off once and was completely disabled(his brain is in his head, and his power supply and most of his motor controls is inside his bod. His skin can also be damaged(first contact they simply peeled it off), exposing his electronic nervous system.
But without weapons he would likely find a way to trap the Terminator. After analyzing his H2H engagement estimating it's speed and strength. (And also, very likely Data has the Terminator on file somewhere)
data is stronger, faster, smarter. his durability factor is also very high. he fought wolverine and colossus in one cross over and adamantium only scratches him.
" @Lance Bastro: So how did the borg operate and replaced his skin then? "his skin is organic like T-100's as terminator. the rest is some kind of tritanium and duranium plates and exoskeleton.
