Storm's only real ability is lightning, for as far as I'm concerned. Well, Vader could probably handle that quite well. Even though it is his weakness, he isn't as fragile to it as Episode 6 made you believe.

Storm can hit him with lightning and messes up his respirator leaving him unable to talk and, therefore, ruining the plot.

Vader can easily block most energy based projectiles, as shown in all the scans posted by Kingshark, as well as in Empire when he deflects Han's blaster bolt with his hand. Blocking Storm's lightning shouldn't be too hard. Also, Vader could Force choke Storm before she even reacted.

Well thats a lie because Storm can do MUCH more than just summon some lightning. She could easily flash freeze him or if she wanted to take all the air from his lungs. Also i dont believe that force lightning is on par with Storms lightning so yea.

Those examples are basically useless here. Those energy blasts are nothing compared to what Storm can do.... Even on an off day. The woman can crack concrete, literally drill a lightning bolt all the way to the center of the Earth, as well as destroyed the X-men X-jet. If you can find some better scans that show Vader blocking energy that is on par with what Storm generate then we can say that her lightning is off the table.

If it's anything like the scans Kingshark posted it's not even worth mentioning.

That has yet to be seen.

And Storm could generate a crushing pressure around Vader literally making him the size of a baseball.

If you believe that lighting is the only ability she has, then you are wrong. I really don't care about Vader absorbing or deflecting blaster bolts, because they are nothing in comparison to Ororo's power.

For that matter, Storm is also very gifted at absorption and deflection, since she is a lightning powerhouse, in addition to having every other power within an atmosphere (and then some).

Agreed. If the best argument that can be made is "Vader can force choke her" I don't see him winning.

Vader. He may be able to block the lightning with his saber. She can't blind him because he can sense her presence with the force so he doesn't need sight. Forgive me for I know very little about Storm.

depends, vader before being nearly cremated has more force power than basically anyone in the starwars univers (or so I've heard) other people in the starwars universe have destroyed stars with the force so I think if this is pre-obiwan vader he possess more raw power, speed, agility, and could easily kill her

Vader can choke her in a split second. Storm cannot "activate" her powers as quickly as he can. I have no doubt that Storm could overwhelm Vader with lightning and air pressure attacks, but she cannot do that as fast as her mind can think it. Vader can. One aspect people tend to forget about Force users, is that many (not all) Force powers require no "casting" or "summoning". It is instant. Force Choke is one of those powers.

Vader has no problems with being ruthless an killing. Storm isn't ready for what Vader will bring to the table.

Storm can be ruthless when she is in the mood. I mean she did cut out poor Marrow's Heart.

As I see no one else is making good arguments in favor of Vader, I will.

Remember that movie Vader is often labelled as being nothing but a slow, clumsy cyborg with moderate TK powers. Well, for someone who is that, those feats are quite impressive, wouldn't we say?

Unfortunately, whenever someone creates a Star Wars battle people instantaneously think of the movie characters, even though all of them are much weaker than their EU counterparts, and then compare them to Marvel comic characters. Why? That's just unfair IMO.

Even more of a scary truth is, in Dark Lord - The Rise of Darth Vader he was able to defeat an army of Jedi's by himself with ease.

I'm not familiar with the comic verse version of Vader so I can't state yet for sure who I think would win. People wanting and trying to kill her is nothing new to Storm. Since this to the death she will no compunction about killing him here as well.

It depends on what she is trying to do but she has shown very impressive reaction time with her powers, and has created effects in the time it takes to blink (i.e. - tornadoes, flash freeze, altering air pressure in the inner ear, removing air from lungs, summoning massive lightning bolts, etc.). She has a feats thread on her forum page that shows a lot of this. For large scale or unnatural applications of her powers, those type of attacks can take time.

Instantly doubles the air pressure in a building to blow it up before the guy can pull the trigger.

There is more but these are just a few examples that she can summon her powers pretty much instantly.

The only tk I have seen her handle was Jean during a training session. Phoenix Jean trapped Storm with a tk grip fairly easily.

I haven't cast a vote on who wins actually since I am not famiiar enough with comic-verse Vader. Happy to be enlightened on what he can do, but if the best attack is a "force choke", then I don't see him winning. I'm assuming there is more he can do here and why some believe Vader would stomp. The scans so far are not that impressive, and one of them (namely the one of him being hurt by the electric net) could be an advantage for Storm here.
