There was NO need to bump a SIX YEAR old DEAD thread just to ask wtf is up with these Darth maul threads. And it's even obvious you had to search for it because a sox year old thread doesn't just suddenly pop up at the most recent topics. So like i said read the rules because there was no reason to bump a thread like this.

It's fine to bump an old post if you think it's a decent battle. The Ebony Blade has a pretty uneven record--at best--in terms of protecting Dane directly. It can cut through anything, but that doesn't help here. More useful is that it can disrupt or absorb energy, so that may work against the lightsaber. While Dane is theoretically very skilled, he probably isn't at Maul's level in terms of pure ability, and with the force to enhance his speed and agility--and even if his lightsaber's energy is absorbed--Maul wins.
