This version of Malgus practically stomps through sheer power. It has to be Deceived Malgus for a better fight.
@shootingnova: Is the beard not strong enough? XD sorry old joke lol.
@i_like_swords: Yeah, but we all know Kyle curbstomps spites in a battle of witty comebacks.
I read deceived and I was impressed with Malgus, I think he's far too physical for Kyle, the only way I can see a win from Kyle is if he can trick Malgus into thinking he has the upper hand (like what Malgus did with the grand sword master) and then quickly going for the kill before Malgus knows what hits him. Every other scenario Malgus is just too powerful for Kyle (Take into note I am talking about the deceived version)
The Deceived version of Malgus has nothing to suggest he's far too physical or far too powerful for Kyle. Kyle has at least comparable strength and durability feats, and frankly, better speed feats. Skilfully, Kyle is also at least as good, if not better, and power is Malgus's key edge.
@shootingnova: yea I over exaggerated and I will also admit I am ignorant when it comes to most of Kyle's feats. How effectively can Kyle alter his physical stength?
P.S im new and juet started these battles and I have to say I was very impressed with all your arguments I saw, especially the Revan vs Sidious vs Bane Vs Nihilus
@dreadfulx: What do you mean "alter his strength"?
And thanks for the compliments.
@shootingnova: Darth Malgus greatly enhanced his strength into bone crushing proportiona in Deceived, can Kyle do the same to a lesser extent?
@dreadfulx: Kicking Yuuzhan Vong the range of an explosion matches that feat.
Malgus - comparably skilled, far more powerful.
did you just? oh hell no!
Great, I'll continue tomorrow though. I plan to read/scan through the two novels that sports Kyle as the main hero, so I can get a better grasp on his feats and debate it accodingly.
At the moment I'll give Kyle the 6/10 edge.
@dccomicsrule2011: I look forward to it man. Although we do have our tournament match posted, so we should probably be focusing on that first.
@i_like_swords: Sh!t nearly forgot about that. I'll have that reply up by tomorrow as well.
Kyle had aid from the ghost of Qu Rahn in his duels with the Dark Jedi, and was probably amped in his showing against Jerec. Skillfully none of the Dark Jedi were that great, Rahn stomped most of them and even cut one in half before dying to Jerec- and one even got shot point blank in the face lol. So his of oft quoted Seven Jedi feat has some circumstances, and isnt as impressive to me as Malgus beating Satele twice/fighting Darach, beating Aryn Leneer, and holding his own against Zallow. I haven't dug into the Vong-era material but I'm not sure if any of those showings necessarily exceed Malgus's. At worst Malgus is probably somewhat more skilled, but the power edge is definitely in his favor
Jerec was clearly amped. Tremendously, IIRC. Can't remember about Kyle, but he should have been as well. IIRC, Jerec was more amped, because of his longer presence in the nexus.
Kyle Katarn takes this.
The only feat Malgus has it is his physical strength,Kyle has strength, high endurance, great resistance to exhaustion,he fought by himself with much many opponents than Malgus,Reborn,Dark Jedi,Storm Troopers,Pirates...
Except maybe for strength,Kyle takes him in the other areas. You also forget that Qu-Rahn was "better" than the Seven Dark Jedi, but he still said that Sariss is a dangerous enemy, "Out of all the Dark Jedi I have met, Sariss is the one I can say... I fear. Powerful, strong in both the physical and mental arenas of the Force, she is a master, a perfectionist, quiet and reserved. This makes her a very dangerous foe."
Kyle had aid from the ghost of Qu Rahn in his duels with the Dark Jedi, and was probably amped in his showing against Jerec.
And no,Kyle was not amped by the Jedi Valley.
Kyle also not that he was one of the best and most powerful Jedi, but he also surpassed but all the other great Jedi Masters(save possibly for Luke)Even Caedus, who is really a strong Sith(I am sure he takes Malgus easily) admited Kyle Katarn's strength and prowess. And when he faced the Dark Jedi,he didn't have any lightsaber trainings,he was a natural duelist,so this has to count for something,as he adapts to any kind of situation.
BTW,Kyle also uses any weapon and object he meets around,so even if he is not so "hefty",he still can beat the crap out of Malgus.

Onslaught Malgus is above Vitiate
Kyle is DE Luke level
LoTF Luke ~ Caedus > Kyp > Kyle (>:medium difficulty gaps)
DE Luke > DE Sidious ~ PT Yoda
Exar Kun made 11 ABY Kyp feel feeble
That Kyp in the Dark Side is DE Luke level, 30 ABY Kyp is 30 ABY Luke level
Spirit Kun was badly damaged and died leaving a Nexus, he never wanted to travel out of it
Darth Malgus >>>> Vitiate >>>> Aloysius Kallig >>>> Spirit Kun >>>> DE Luke
@shootingnova Has your opinion changed on this fight in light of Malgus's newer feats in TOR?
@mossbeard: Not to be rude, but it hardly matters as the thread pertains to FE Malgus, who I'm probably going to give the win. The dude is simply too much, Kyle is good but a lot of his feats are wanked to high heavens, the quotes say he's fighting these Vader-tier opponents which I simply don't buy for a moment.
Desann is not, and never will be DE Luke-level, not even close to being close. Dude without a doubt fought a Luke that was holding back.
