@Night Thrasher: It wouldn't really make a difference. Their power is distributed evenly between them all which in turn makes them far weaker than a fully powered host.

@Night Thrasher: Perhaps, if it were reduced to one or two of the Phoenix Five it'd be a fairer fight as Namor was taken down by the Avengers albeit it required a large amount of them to do so.

ok ill play along but what is he going to do when he takes 1 down just to make the others more powerful he cant win,and even if my luck he takes down all but 1 that last one would be the full Phoenix force and there is know way he could win that battle

Omega Beams, no. Omega Effect, yes.

None of them were destined for the Phoenix, it was meant for Hope. They delayed the inevitable and even with the Phoenix, they aren't crucial to the universe. They get hit with the OE, vanish, and leave the Phoenix hostless.

Darkseid could conceivably take this, as could the Five.

Does the host need to be crucial to the universe if the Phoenix decides they should stay? Rachel is not crucial to 616, but when bonded with the Phoenix in 616 removing the Phoenix from her proved to be detrimental to the universe.

@LordOfAllHumans: I don't think even the OE is going to get the P5. Not en masse. Maybe one or two. But the five together is essentially the whole of the PF and Darkseid is completely outmatched by the force.

PHX5...PHX force > Darkseid, that's just what it comes down to. I have no doubts Darkseid could take down one or two of them, but it will just make the others stronger. Even if he could take down four, he'd be facing a full powered individual with the PHX force and I just don't see Darkseid soloing here

That was purely down to Wanda. They had the Avengers each take a token dig at him but that was just to make it seem like they actually served a purpose in being there but it just highlighted how much page filler most of them where. That issue could have been remarkably shorter with no impact on the story if Wanda and him had just shot gone at it as soon as he arrived.
