I know you've just seen a new set of scans and are itching to show your knowledge, but a comic where Darkseid owns the entire GL corps, Guardians and the armies of New Genesis until a plot device beats him down doesn't really add to your case.

@Thor's hammmer: That power is Darkseid's, he grabbed all the energy interwoven into the dimension that is his own (and to everyone's horror that means an entire dimension) and shot it at the anti-monitor. He has power on par with Odin, he's DC most powerful sky-Father. While Odin is Marvel's most powerful sky-father.
@Thor's hammmer: yes being a powerful god he rarely interacts physically with the material world, he uses avatars with a fraction of his true power. As Final Crisis explained, none of the earth based heroes have ever met his true form except Spectre. He scorns the use of a physical form as limiting.
He's a god of evil, thus he is interwoven into the whole tapestry reality because of the existence of evil in all reality.

I would question if anything that occurred during the Crisis on Infinite Earths arc really counts as fully "post-crisis." That aside, are you sure it says he channels the energy of an entire dimension? I don't have the trade, but I assume it's in issue 12 (since Darkseid isn't really present in the rest of it), and I don't see it saying anything about channeling the energy of a dimension.

yes, it happens in the final part, page 357 of the trade paperback. The heroes had basically run out of options so they go to Darkseid. He uses Alexander Luthor and sends all the power at his disposal straight into the anti-monitor's face.
And since by then all the earths had been destroyed and all the loose continuities had been wiped, it is post crisis because all that is left is the set up from where Post Crisis jumped off. That is one earth, one timeline where everything that survived was folded into a single universe.
More destructive power doesn't always determine the winner of a fight. Someone could have the power to destroy the universe but if they have no mental defenses then a powerful telepath can just mindrape them even if that telepath isn't even a city-buster. Or if that universe-buster has regular human level physical stats and reflexes, then someone with super strength and speed can just beat them into a coma before they can even think. So saying that Odin wins just because he has more destructive power isn't a very good reason.

darkseid would know everything before taking on odin, odin is all seeing he already knows everything about darkseid. unless desaad developed something for darkseid to aid himself in battle, which he probally will. aided darkseid. normal fight odin.
Just PC Darkseid. Current one doesn't pass from destroying a solar system. Yet we haven't see him doing that.
Odin never "busted a galaxy" but I'm not getting into it here, that's another debate. For the sake of this thread he busted that Galaxy, it was 40 years ago in a 4 issue appearance in Thor v1 184-188. Current Odin has not shown that level of so called power in four decades so I think its pretty safe to say he wont be dealing out any "galaxy busting attacks lol". Current Darkseid was shown as a multiversal threat, not with a single, quick attack wiping everything out in moments, it was a long thought out plan that required a lot of work. In Final Crisis Darkseid's "fall" was tearing apart the fabric of time and space encompassing the entire DC multiverse, pulling down the entire Multiverse into a singular black hole destroying everything. If he had succeeded the entire DC multiverse would have been at the bottom of an inescapable hell where Darkseid was the supreme ruler, everyone and everything.
Another thing worth mentioning is that Darkseid may be one of the most powerful beings in DC in every way but he does not like to get his hands dirty often, only when it may pleasure him. He rather not engage in straight up battles, unless he wants to to satisfy some sick urge he has. If this battle took place DS would already have a good plan in place even without prep. DS has already conquered hundreds of other sky-fathers, there panthoens and added there power to his own, he is well versed in figting these types of battles. DS has tech, magic and his own developed abilities for the sole purpose of taking the power from other Gods then disposing of them. Odin would be ready for a brawl, if it came to that it would be an epic battle that could go either way but sadly I think Odin would lose early in this battle to Darkseid's cunning.
At least it would give us another cool story arc to read of Thor trying to return the life force of his father and the asgardians that were killed..

He actually done it, don't you remember the time when he (while in a weakened state), battled Seth and the energy released destroyed countless galaxies, reignited dying suns and shook the very fabric of the Multiverse itself? And the thing of Darkseid's "true form" was bad writing if you ask me.
The All-Father. Not for the crazy stupid that has been said for him, but because he is still the more powerful character. Although to be fair, DS is getting his fair say of crazy when people are claiming he is a multiversal power house and his cunning will edge out a quick win for him on one of the most, if not the most. powerful Skyfather in fiction.
For the biased fanboys here, Superman and Batman are the most important Superheroes of the DC Universe. It was stated by Mr. Mxy. Here are the scans of Mr. Mxy and the Universal Death telling to Superman that he cannot die.
Omega Effect wouldn't work. 1. Odin could probably absorb/counter/block it 2. He is important. He has been in a few fights that have 'imperilled the universe'. He is a scion of life.
I hate how so many people think DS can whip Thanos. Thanos is better.No way are you gonna see Darkseid take odins blasts the way thanos did. Odin curbstomps.
