Darkseid has found out about the Infinity Gauntlet and teleports himself to the Marvel universe to find it. Adam Warlock somehow senses the new dangerous presence and quickly assembles a team to go deal with him. There's no time to waste, so as soon as all members are together they begin their attack.

No prep, everyone in character, standard equipment. No knowledge, but they can all sense the power of their opponents, so they wont be holding back. Gladiator is at 50% confidence. Sentry is at 50% crazy. Thor is having a good hair day.

Can Darkseid defeat this team?

Because the full effect of OB wouln´t work in Marvel Universe. Darkseid is not above TOAA or LT to run around and erase Marvel charackters from the existence. If the OP state thats is a neutral universe than it would be another case.

This Marvel team is basically all near Superman level characters with some serious energy projection and magic, they take this one.

The OB was retconned into not having it's full effect on certain people that the Source deems to important to remove from existence. Not sure what this criteria is but the TOAA and LT won't care about any of these individuals being removed from existence the Source may as he seems like a hands on sort of Uber cosmic entity but like I said I don't know who gets the label of essential.

OB and OS all around would do the trick.

@Immortal777: It is more than possible that SS, BRB, or Thor could block the OB at least once, and that is all it would take.

@Man_of_Miracles: I doubt it the OB move to fast also they can turn intangible and go right threw Thor and BRB hammers. Surfer might be able to block them who knows but after everyone else is either BFR or dead Surfer would just get beat to death.

@Immortal777: When has Darkseid ever taken out some many powerful opponents out with the OB? Even if he opened up with the OB the others would have time to take him down while the OB chased its intended target.

Marvel, not really that much of a battle imo. 

@Man_of_Miracles: Darkseid has the superior strength, speed (better combat speed compared to Surfer) and durability while also having OB,OS, TP ,TK and etc. What kind of time do they have while not only Darkseid but the OB also move faster than the brunt of the team being Nova, Thor, BRB and Adam all of which will get hit their combat speed isn't good enough. Surfer isn't doing this alone while in character he will try to engage Darkseid physically which is his down fall. Gladiator at 50% confidence whatever that means is a joke and can't be compared to Superman all Darkseid has to do is tank his punches and Glads confidence will drop. Sentry I just don't care.

@Immortal777: SS would be a good match for Darkseid by himself , adding the others assures Marvel the win. SS has matter manipulation, cosmic awareness, teleportation, TP, energy blasts, incredibly high durability.

Team Marvel takes this. Without SS though, DS wins in a very fun fight. OB's even without full omega effect are very, very, versatile. He's got the strength, durability, and reflexes to hang with all of these guys for quite a while.

BTW, infinity gauntlet is totally NOT Darkseid's style. He wants subservience based on admittance of his superiority. He likes to corrupt the mind and soul. Even his pursuit of the anti-life equation, while it's supposedly an equation that would allow total domination of all minds in the universe, is really more a proof of the futility of life. It's his spite for the whole fabric of the universe that drives him to pursue it.

No, Superman survives because he is tough enough to take it. I have never seen the "protected by the Source" rationale ever presented or even hinted at in an actual comic, nor have I ever seen a poster who used it actually provide evidence that it is real. As far as I can tell, it is a fan-created justification for how the Omega Effect could possibly fail to destroy someone Darkseid's fans are all convinced, a priori, must be vastly inferior to him.

DS and Superman have had several encounters. Most of them are either brief exchanges with only superficial damage inflicted at most or stalemates before being interrupted. Superman does have a few actual wins over Darkseid though, and vice-versa. Overall though, Superman has held up against Darkseid long enough, often enough, for them to be considered roughly in the same combat tier. Superman is definitely strong enough to harm Darkseid with his blows, and he is fast enough to both land said blows, and even evade the Omega Effect on a good day. His durability is also high enough to tank some physical hits from Darkseid, as well as the Omega Beams for a bit.

Darkseid is just overmatched here. Between Thor, BRB, Warlock, and SS, I really don't see why the group could not mount a defense against the Omega Beams; we have many high end energy manipulators and absorbers here, along with plenty of raw power. Although dropping Gladiator to 50% confidence (whatever that means; I'll just assume 50% power for simplicity) makes him kind of useless, since normally he's around Thor's level physically.
