Is this current versions? In New 52 I feel Helspont would win so long as he doesnt get hit by the Omega Effect, because other than that he has a better collection of abilities, whereas Darkseid is just a brick in the New 52.

Classic Versions, and I think there is only a handful of abstract beings that can directly beat the "true" Darkseid. Could Helspont beat an Avatar of Darkseid? Sure, but not the real thing.
